The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

More on God and life that we must know

No 632 of Living Life Series 1

We may at times grumble about the harshness of life and some refer to this as suffering, unsatisfactory and wanting - or perhaps to put it more mildly as imperfections. But it is such experiences that wake us up to ponder what we should do.

Of course, we are even as a whole a drop in the mighty ocean of the universe and rather than changing the universe, we should change ourselves and be somehow or other more innovative and resourceful to synchronize with the universe. That way we will be in harmony and at peace with the universe and with life.

This the sages of old put it as the balance of the yin and yang - how to be in harmony with the ups and downs so that the ups and downs can complement and make our life more whole and peaceful. Lao Tse did put it as being part of nature, and society is but a minor part of mother nature.

So the emphasis is on the mother nature and the universe. Even God the Jade Emperor 玉皇上帝 has to contend with the laws of life and the universes - both visible and astral. But mind you, he is infinitely manifold better than all under his rule. He is the ruler of the three worlds.

Great as he may be, God is still part of the universes. Few are those who realise that God is the created as he arose from the primordial energy of the universe. But popularly, we know God as the creator. God has power over life and the universe.

We too in our own small ways are like the Jade Emperor 玉皇上帝 with power over life. We too can create and destroy but are created and subjected to destruction.

That we can create and destroy does not mean we are good like God. It all depends on our hearts or rather our minds - our mental purity or roots.

This is the age-old Chinese concept of God and men. But because China had rich history of greater civilisation than the Middle East, Chinese concept of God and spirituality is that far more elaborate, complex and superior - more logical.

The concept of God in religious systems that arose from the Middle East is far simpler and easier to be fathomed but may not stand to over intelligent scrutiny. This is why men are discouraged from scrutiny of the concept of God and the reason why Adam and Eve story is accepted not as story but reality by many.

God the Jade Emperor 玉皇上帝 is created and that does not make him any less God - any less the ruler of the three worlds of men, heaven and hell.

God is both created and creator and mind you creatures like men are too in their own small ways created and creators. All contribute and are part of the circle of change and creation.

In the circle of change and creation, there is no beginning and no end. This is an endless and onerous circle.

All must aspire for enlightenment to leave or exit this circle of change and creation. Buddhas had left this circle by attaining full enlightenment - parinirvana. Jade Emperor is near to buddhahood like the posats or Bodhisattvas but like the Bodhisattva, God lingers around in the circle of change and creation to help beings to be better in spirituality - to cultivate Tao  or Way so as to be pure and at peace with the ups and downs of life and the universe.

Short is life to him who cultivates Tao. He finds life too short to cultivate more of Tao. But long is the night to him who is wakeful and long is life to him who sees not the true nature of life and not in Tao.

武天 菩萨
Lord Bo Tien's message is clear
Tao
is in life and in all faiths

Tao  is one but faiths are many

Lord Bo Tien's message for all is clear in that there is Tao the way to spiritual peace in all religions. He who knows and lives in Tao sees Tao in all religions. He who does not, will see neither Tao nor God and any saint even if God and saints are around
