The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

The sound of silence can be deafening

No 381 of Living Life Series 1

God seems to be silent when men in church or temple argue till kingdom come on what is right and what is not. God seems to stand one side and keep His silence when one religion or sect makes unkind remarks of another.

This silence fans the guts of men to speak out what they believe and just because God keeps His silence, they think they are right. But the irony is that many of contradictory views think they are speaking for God and others must therefore have erred if they fail to see eye to eye with them.

Men tend to take matters into their own hands instead of leaving to God. They cannot see from different angles and perspectives. They are bigotted and even portray God as wrathful, jealous and ego-centric. These are negative attributes we see in men and not in God and saints.

This is perhaps one reason why Jesus said that self-righteousness is the downfall of many a man.

When the saint or prophet is around, many still do not value what the saint or prophet said. When the saint has said his fill and there is no more need for him to be around, the Word of the saint is there but many do not see or hear the Word.

They have eyes but do not see. They have ears but don't seem to hear. They think that they know the saint but actually knew not.

This happens to any temple, church or religion and even in a temple of Lord Bo Tien. Saint like Lord Bo Tien knows that and it is best that men must learn and if they don't want to learn, even if the Word is there, even if the image of the lord saint is there, even if God is there, men will be blind to God and saints though they claim and profess to know God and saints.

But what they know is their inflated ego and self-righteousness. They hold on to these as their God and saint. They end up worshipping ego and Man instead of God and saints.

That is why founders of religions or sects are there in the beginning, but having seeded the Word, they leave men alone. But if men are wayward and value not the Word, they will feel the silence and the void. The sound of silence can be deafening and they will be lost.

But if they surround themselves with the Word (the doctrine), the silence is the beautiful peace that comes from knowing the Word, instead of the silence that is deafening to those not knowing the Word.

The sound of silence can be deafening to the ignorant but it is the peace that comes from knowing the Word for those who are wise. The wise may be alone and away from the crowd in a temple of church but he is not lonely but has a fulfilling life as he is in the universal temple with the sky or Heaven as the roof and religions as the pillars.

But the crowd at a concrete temple or church will feel the void or meaninglessness even with the crowd as they are worshipping God and saints in vane. Without the Word, they will feel the void and silence which is deafening. They are lost with the many others while the wise one though seemingly alone is secure with the Word of God and saint.

Go for the Word of God and not the word by man in the name of God when the name of  God is being used  in vain, like a puppet to satisfy the whims and fancies of the egos of men.
