The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Why dominate or be dominated? Be free and at peace

No 1374 of Living Life Series 1

The problems and issues of men are many and plentiful. Bo Tien 武天 did say. Deducing or inferring from what he said, it is obvious that it is no easy task (a problem of sorts) also to ensure there are no problems - to go upstream to the upper source for calm and clear water. Many just flow downstream with the current.

It is better to go upstream against the current and if this is a problem, then it is a happy one and therefore not a problem. The pursuit of pure and clear peace (the upper source) cannot be said to be a problem but the solution to all problems.

The solution cannot be a problem. The satisfaction of not being dragged along downstream with the majority is indeed a joy in itself. There is the sense of release, emancipation and of getting on top and above the yin and yang of life - the ups and downs.

We come out on top of life and not let life be on top of us. We are in control in the driver's seat and not be driven, swept away and bashed around. We become like God and saints when we try to be in control of life rather than be controlled and at mercy of life.

We do not need to dominate and be dominated. We set ourselves free. We are with life and with religions but free ourselves from religious bigotry and controversies. We are not dictated by crowd pulls and push.

We let others to be free to do as they think fit for the moment. We give the gentle nudge but do not harass them if they are not ready. We try to help them along if they happen to enter our life of the moment while we go for more of the inner peace and purity of the upper source - the pure inner truth behind all religions and life.

We are with life and not running away from life by having more of the peace in life day by day. We stay on top and be in control of life - not be dominated and yet not to dominate others. Dominance is not good in life, more so in religion.

Why dominate or be dominated? Do have the peace and be free like the dove - which is symbolic of the divine spirit.

This applies also to life beyond religion - to couples and to children.

Wives should not dominate and henpecked husbands. Husbands should not control wives with iron fists. Then there will be more peace and matrimonial harmony and peace. We may say this is a manifestation of that ultimate inner peace

Children should be taught at the earliest opportunities on the principles of life and should learn to be able to think for themselves and to think on their feet.

If we love them, we should set them free after helping them to pick up the tools of life. We should not be dominating and domineering. That will not work well in the long run.
