The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

The fourth dimension to managing life

No 575 of Living Life Series 1

The issues and problems in life of men are many and plentiful. This did the good lord Lord Bo Tien remark in one of his messages.

Often, though men can handle them on their own, they can also help one another. But there are at times when the issues and problems do not lend themselves to such solutions.

Then. of course, there is God and saints which men can turn to so that a problem if big can become lesser of a problem. All three methods are blessings to men. This the good lord did explain in depth.

But there is more than these three that the good lord teaches. Men must additionally not forget to live by the Word or Doctrine for the Word is God and saints. Men can prepare themselves for problems by cultivating the Way or Tao taught by the saints of different religions though not referred to as Tao in many other than Taoism. In Buddhism, it is of course the Middle Way with stress on peace or equanimity and love for life.

There is essentially the need to be at peace with life, to be with life (not run from or deny life) and not to expect too much out of life. There is the need for balance so as to have peace.

Peace must be there for there to be more peace in matters of life and its issues. Looking at a problem which may appear insurmountable, keep the peace and be mindful.

There may be many parts to the problem and only when there is the intrinsic peace from within the heart come what may, can one see the problem and its parts. If the main part is too hard to handle, go for the other parts which are amenable to solution.

Handle these parts and size down the overall big problem that way. This can only be achieved if there is calm and peace within coming from the heart so that there is better insight of the problem.

By sizing down through solving the solvable parts, the problem even if big becomes lesser of a problem, be it an illness or otherwise. Then with insight through better peace that is equanimity, we can do control damage of the problem proper even if we cannot solve it for now or the foreseeable future. We can keep it in check for now.

Also in any new problem that we have never handled before, use what we know from the past to handle what we do not know of the present problem. Know the knowable of the past to handle the new and unknown that is the current problem. This is the way corporate society or the non-corporate world or individual should look at life as it unfurls.

This is Tao or Way to be atop issues of life where yin and yang (passive and positive) should be seen as one and yet seen as parts. Tao requires some peace to begin with. We need faith and guidance of saints. Tao promotes and nurtures more peace and calm to ready us and steady ourselves for more life.

Tao is the fourth route for blessings other than the three others such as helping ourselves in worldly sense without Tao, helping one another and turning to God and saints for help.

Tao is in one sense from God and saints but it must be cultivated moment by moment to bring peace of moment. Many moments of peace coalesce to give more enduring peace of Tao. This is the fourth dimension to managing life.

Let there be Tao and we can have this through any religion or even if we do not go through any religion. With Tao, we have God and saints with us, in us and out there.

Though some men of Tao are not with religions and the houses of God, they are near though far from God and saints. Didn't Lord Bo Tien in one of his yearly messages talk of the near and far?

The far may be near and the near far. The near in a temple or religion may be far if they know not the Word or Tao and do not live and cultivate the Word or Tao.

The Word is God. God is the Word. These are catch phrases of many sects and religions. Lord Bo Tien's role is merely to reawaken and remind all on this so that they can live in the Word or Tao through their respective religions or sects or even if they belong to none.
