THE PURPOSE IS TO SAVE SOULS. IT IS WAY BEYOND NORMAL GOOD WORK LIKE CHARITY AND WELFARE ACTIVITIES. NO ONE SHALL BE SAVED BY GOOD WORKS ALONE BUT BY MORE THAN GOOD WORK. THERE IS NEED TO BE IMBUED WITH THE BASIC DOCTRINE COMMON TO AND BEHIND ALL RELIGIONS AND SECTS. LIVE IN DOCTRINE. DOCTRINE IN LIFE IS PARAMOUNT.

The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Hell is no God forsaken place

No 505 of Living Life Series 1

It is often said that Hell is where souls are damned. The worst lot and the most pitiful of all souls are those who had to have sojourn in Hell. God and saints would want to help them and not to damn them in Hell.

Who has not done wrong? We all pay for our mistakes and if God and saints are not benevolent, more will be in Hell. The concept of punishment is not in keeping with a loving and benevolent God.

People are in Hell not because of the making of God and saints but because of their own making. But nobody pays for their mistakes in eternity.

Hell is never the making of God and saints. No loving God and saints will want beings to be in Hell. They only wish that the beings do not stay any second longer in Hell.

They have divine love and compassion. If any say God is a jealous God and is wrathful, surely that man is obviously blasphemous and has wronged God.

Even many demons are not wrathful though they are keen others are subservient to them. Only some demons are wrathful and exact punishment but even then not more than the pound of flesh.

But men over zealous to please God threaten fellow men in the name of God with eternal damnation if they do not act like they do with respect to God. Isn't this exacting many many more times than the pound of flesh?

Hell is no God forsaken place and God and saints make attempt to save the souls of men in Hell so that they do not need to be there even a second more than necessary.

Hell is simply not in line with divine love. God loves men. How can there be retaliation by God and saints for the failings of men? The failings may upset God and saints but these would not hurt them in the least. The failings by men hurt men themselves and that is for sure.

Even if men can hurt God and saints, how can there be more than an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth when in the new testament it is good to offer the other cheek when slapped on one cheek. Heaven would have to be the role model for men so that there be true awesome love for life. Heaven would not punish but love even more.

In reality, out of love for all lives, God and saints expend time and effort to help the beings of Hell to be reborn to better states and not stay a second longer than necessary. They teach them to cultivate Tao and in short this energizes the purity of the spirit. A pure spirit is a free spirit and will soar above the trials and tribulations, the pains and aches of life.

Lord Bo Tien

Lord Bo Tien has said that even a criminal can be chosen by him to trained to be good and to lead men in a temple. How can men think that those who have erred must be condemned and be in Hell.

If Heaven so decides even a bad person can be trained to be a saint. This is the magnanimity and benevolence of Heaven.

Lord Bo Tien spoke through trancing
that if he so decides "even a criminal
can be trained by him to be a saint."

If Lord Bo Tien so wishes, he will spare no efforts to block a man who erred from going to Hell but send him to Heaven instead and one day that man can even be saint.

Ji Gong

Ji Gong The Living Buddha expends all efforts to reform the wrong doers so that they can mend and bend to be good. He does not condemn them but will change them to be better men. He is a saint and he has heart of gold. He is well known for his benevolence towards wrong doers who are willing to mend and bend.

King Yama ever so thoughtful
kind and compassionate.
He is a Bodhisattva in Tibetan lore

It is said that King Yama tries his level best to encouraged new entrants to Hell to think of the good they have done in the immediate past life so that they can energise their good karma to leave Hell. Isn't Yama more compassionate than the image some men paint of God as wrathful and unforgiving?

Tsitigarbha Buddha

Tsitigarbha Buddha spend his time in Hell to answer to the call of those suffering in Hell. He imparts the teachings and invokes peace in them. He teaches them to cultivate peace at heart even amid raging hell fires. The peace at heart will douse any hell fire.

Amitabha Buddha

Amitabha Buddha and his Pure Land saints like Kuanyin reach out to all beings to bless them. They only need to call his name "Omitofo." Those in Hell more than those elsewhere need their divine help.

Only demon-hearted men think that God and saints have forsaken those in Hell. Such men are more demonic than even real demons who have two sides the good and bad and are more salvageable than such men.

Chinese culture may lack sophistication and is often frowned at by the many more so the young, educated and modernized. Take the instance of the seventh month observance.

It is when Chinese traditionalists appease the wondering spirits with offerings of hell money and food offerings. They believe that once a year the spirits from hell who are more fortunate than the rest in hell could come out to receive the goodwill of men.

The traditionalists may be frowned at but for sure, it is undoubted that they do have good intentions though there are much better ways for them to relieve the plight of those in hell.

But they are far better than some misguided who in the name of God threaten and condemn men who do not conform to their beliefs to everlasting damnation in Hell as though Hell is indeed a God forsaken place. God forgive them for they know not what they do.

Hell is never a God forsaken place and even those who have used God's name in vain and in derogatory way will not be forsaken by God and saints.

God and saints are ever loving and those who are far from them are near to them and those near may be far. This the good lord Lord Bo Tien reminds us to reflect.

Hell is no God forsaken place. This all men should have no qualms to believe that this is the truth. Isn't truth so beautiful and whole like the lotus flower? Omitofo.

Lest you forget

Do not make the mistake of idolizing any man who tells you about the Word. He is in the same boat as you even if religion refers to him as a religious leader. Mere mention of a religious leader is as good as encouraging idolising of that man. Why must there be hierarchy in religion? Hierarchy is conventional but may end up as liability rather than a necessity or asset. There should be no caste or hierarchy system in religion. No one is to be considered above another in religion. A religious leader or follower is a servant to serve you and not a leader to be idolised. Do not put him on the pedestal and make a monster out of him.

MAY ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY

May all be well and happy. May they have peace. May our departed friends and kins be well, happy and have divine peace. The main writer wishes the best for all for those near and far. Our kins may be far when they had passed on to better lives but they are near though far. He remembers and wishes his parents Mr Siow Soo Koh and Mdm Tay Hung Siang, his uncles and aunties like Mr Tay Koon Huay, his cousins like Mr Tay Chong Sim and his friends like Mr Philip Png well and have abundance of life. May they be rich in spirit for without such ancestors, there will be no posterity - no us and no you and me. They have blessed us and we must blessed them in return forever and ever.
