No 1531 of Living Life Series 1
The morning after is a hard pill to swallow. We are not referring to the morning after pill for those who do not want conception after a one night stand or whatever.
But we are referring to the morning after a celebration of a temple or religion or culture. The feeling of being down after being up with celebratory mood is unmistakable.
That is why there are 15 days of Chinese New Year in Chinese culture and festivals before and soon after. This is to lift the mood for as long as can be and prevent a drastic drop, and to have more events to lift up the mood again.
But the man who is at peace does not need all these aids to lift the mood. Many who are not at peace need to be turned on and to have his ego fanned.
Bo Tien 武天 says that any man must have inner peace but while he has not gone far into inner peace, he needs religions and others to turn him on and fan the ego.
Lessen the ego through insight meditation, better still through moment to moment mindfulness and there will be more inner peace.
Happiness then is not in an institution and it is in life he lives. This is the message of Bo Tien 武天 for anyone in any religion and in any culture. A man can then be better than what he is and in the religion, culture or society he is in.
