To be religious is to commit and have discipline. We can wholeheartedly be religious in whatever we want to do in life and this needs not be with regards to religion.
To be religious has nothing to do with dreams and desires but has to do with logic and a way of life that gives meaning and purpose in life that otherwise has no meaning and purpose.
There should be no desires and wanting which have flooded men and cause storms. Storms will not last forever and calm will return only to be followed by storms. Bo Tien 武天 wants us to know.
This is what life is rich in and this is not what we want.
We turn to religion for answers. Do we end up with the answers?
But often there too are storms we face in religion. Religion is still part of life. Storms there will be in life.
When faced with storms, we think God and saints have failed us and we hold on to whatever hope we have in God and saints so that small issues will be no issues and big issues will be small issues.
But Bo Tien 武天 adds that there is certainty of fate. All share the fate of ageing, disabilities and death.
Often, we cannot accept this and we ask for a new body that will be eternal and free from such fate. This shows we have not understood the truth of life - the truth that the only perfection is imperfection.
There is need to go for inner peace that is within and behind the messages of all religions.
With inner peace, we are stronger come what may. We can face and ride the imperfections of life. This inner peace is what God and saints have though they are very much better at this than us.
Bo Tien 武天 has touched on this inner truth that is in life and in all religions.
Religion should not cause us to dream more but we should be awakened by inner truth to grow more of the inner peace. Then we can be with God and saints.
