The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Do men matter to God but when can this not be?

No 1514 of Living Life Series 1

When men think they matter to the world, it is they who think so and not the world.

If they carry this thinking into religion, they portray that they are the only ones that matter to God and saints. They turn religion into the tool for them to tell the world they even matter to God and saints and nothing else seem to matter at all.

But when questioned, they speak the other way round. They insist that others matter and they don't. This is typical of all of many who want the world to know that they matter hell of a lot to the world.

Their thinking creates hell even in religion and that is most unkind for the very people who are supposed to be kind and warm towards all - God and saints included.

What kind of men will they be? What will become of religion if many in religion end up this way?

There will not be peace. Ironically, though they are supposedly near to God and saints, and the peace that God and saints stand for, they are far from God and saints, and the peace God and saints stand for.
This Bo Tien 武天 did say and that is why Bo Tien 武天 has since 1969 descended to be amongst all men 365 days a year to correct the wrong that plaques many in religion by waking them up to the need for having God and saints in them and have the inner peace that God and saints stand for.

Bo Tien 武天 says that men may have to go against the current and go upstream against the flow to reach natural crystal clear water that religion is meant to let them have.

Do men matter to God and saints and when can this not be? This is what all must contemplate on, regardless of religion, culture and society.

Bo Tien 武天 matters not but the message of having inner peace in men through any religion or culture do matter.

Men must not hero worship anyone or even themselves. That will be idolising. Men should not even idolise and sing praises to the way or doctrine to have inner peace.

What everyone needs is inner peace  and not talk at length and sing hymns of inner peace. There should be no outward show but real inner peace in every heart.

Then men have God and saints in them. It is easier to have outward show but this will be contrary to what men should have - the inner peace in them that is God and saints.

Many are weak and tend to idolise God and saints and even the doctrine of inner peace because they need to idolise themselves. When will they grow out from idolatry?

When pioneer elder Ling Diung Kwong one of two pioneers anointed by Bo Tien 武天 for the Mission of Heaven raises this issue, there was as to be expected hue and cry from those so used to idolatry more so self idolatry.

This will not stop the Mission from reaching out like the ocean to many a shore - through the great ocean of world wide web via the Living Life Series 1. This was foretold by Bo Tien 武天.

LAUNCH OF MISSION STATEMENT 2017 FOR SERIES 1

No 1513 of Living Life Series 1

In conjunction with the forty ninth big day of Mission on the auspicious 13th day of 9th lunar month falling on 1st November 2017.

13th in Chinese sounds like one (1) living (3) - mission sure to live and grow. One also refers to series 1 of Living Life blogs - Living Life Series 1

This day happens to be All Saints Day one day after Halloween on 31st October 2017.

In the beginning in 1969
everything to do with mission
depended on only two
Philip Png (seated) and
Ling Diung Kwong
(standing beside sceptre)
but now men have short memories
and the two are dead to the minds of many.
The duo and those who follow them
may be different
but all far and near or
near and far are one in mission.
All are important and
have their place in mission.
This is the view of Bo Tien 武天.
All do deserve credit
and each one a place
in the history of mission.

There is no right and wrong
only more right and less wrong
All have done well
but could be better than that.

They have to face the music
All reap what they sow.
Problems the good still face,
Sometimes more than their share,
(more so if they are religious
and in for more spiritual)
so as to learn to be better.

This is what everyone
regardless of religion,
race, culture or society
should ever be -
to be better
than what they are
This is the Mission of Heaven.

Religions, temples too are
to be better at what they are.
Problems coming in droves
for the religious and good
to earlier clear debts of past
so as to qualify the religious
to have better things in life
to be yet even better
in spiritual bliss and peace -
to be even more good and pure
to be nearer to God, saints and men.

Problems seem more
at times to the good.
They are not shaken
and still at peace.
They know that problems
 can be blessings in disguise.

But to those not steep
in the truth that is in life,
problems are let-downs.
They blame God.
They see not the light
at the end of the tunnel
of truth that is
in life and in God.

Bo Tien 武天 on The Mission of Heaven

No 1512 of Living Life Series 1

The past cannot return and is history but the present is a gift we must value and the future is a mystery.

Learn from past and move on. Do not grumble over the wrong we or others did or the good we failed to do.

Handle the present better than the past. Learn from life and life is the greatest gospel - the truth which we try to know from books and from preachers when the very life we are in has much to tell us.

Have no 'I thoughts' and we will be one with life and the world, one with others and be at peace.

All are one regardless of views, religions, cultures and society. There is oneness of goodness and peace despite the differences that make people, religions and cultures appear so different.

This oneness of goodness is the inner truth that gives inner peace which Bo Tien 武天 sets out since 1969 to point out to the world. This is the doctrine mission that must reach out to many a shore.

God for those who are like devils to others. Why?

No 1511 of Living Life Series 1

Grow the God nature in us
What if some have wrong intent? Instead of bringing good for the welfare of the many, they are only interested in their own welfare at the expense of the many.

Well, are they damned and scorned by God and saints?

But before we answer this question, do remember that they are on the treacherous path that brings not only problems to others but to themselves as well. Others will give them problems. They may even run foul of the law of the land and face penalties.

But will they wrong God? In the first place, how can they wrong God if God is God? Well, they wrong others and also do wrong to themselves.

God will not forget them but try to help them. They may be like devils to others but to God and saints like Bo Tien 武天, they are not the forgotten lot - not the damned.

They may be far from ready for the doctrine of how to be good, pure and at peace - as is the common basic teachings in all religions and cultures.

God understands them and will never damn them. God will bless them and try to win them over. They may be far but yet near and dear to God and saints, as is mentioned by Bo Tien 武天
God will even grant them wishes not just three only but more. Divine love cannot be put on hold till a person is no longer wrong and till he is a better person.

Such men have problems upon problems which they created themselves. God is the last person to make matters worse for them. God will help them and win their hearts.

Bo Tien 武天 said that if men turn to God and saints, all issues can be managed. This is for all men and even those who have done wrong.

Issues if small will be no issues and big issues can end up as small issues. But there is the element of fate or what some refer to as Karma - cause and effect.

This fate the men have to face and God provides the doctrine for men to have insight on why they have to face the music of fate.

The root problem lies in 'I thoughts' or what some refer to as ego craving at expense of others - that is detrimental and hurting to others.

Now, all should realise that God and we too as well must not damn others to hell on earth or even the Hell in afterlife.

Helping others must include everyone and those who have wronged us are the very ones who need help more. They are the ones near to God though doctrine wise far from God.

Didn't Bo Tien 武天 say the far can be near and if God or any saint like Bo Tien 武天 chooses, even a criminal can be trained to be a man or leader of spiritual.

We too must grow the God nature in us to help all including those deemed beyond redemption. Just like God and saints, even those in hell is no barrier for us to do so. Isn't this true and should be the case?

The intents do matter in religion or in life

No 1510 of Living Life Series 1

On a serious note on life
When there is doubt, there must be reason for the doubt. According to Bo Tien 武天, it is alright if someone who is with us has doubts. Doubts arise because there is need to understand and find out more.

Those who don't have doubts may actually know and understand little - too little to be able to ask questions to clarify.

Those who ask many questions are more likely those who in fact know and understand more to be able to raise clarifying questions.

There is need for some caution with regards to issue of doubts. When is doubt a doubt and when is doubt not a doubt but gossip with ill-intent.

There is fine distinction between doubt and gossip. Doubt is for good intent to find out more. Gossip is to talk ill of others whom a person cannot see eye to eye with and person has desire to put them down for he felt he has been put down by the others.

Old timers or leaders be they at a religious place or at place of work may think they know best and may be carried away by their need to be on top and to be in control.

They are likely to mistake doubt as gossip and affront to their authority. They also tend to judge but cannot accept if those under them judge them back.

This is contrary to the learning organisation concept of 360 degree appraisal. Supervisors appraise those under them. 360 degree appraisal requires that they be appraised by those under them for how good they are as supervisors.

There is need to be impersonal and to be objective. But with individual ego, this is difficult. The intent then changes from objectivity to subjectivity. Then hurt and anger arise.

When this happens in religion, there is no peace and more discord. People within the same religion, sect or temple, like in any workplace can end up locking horns. This is not good.

Doubt of course is good but know what is doubt and what is pettiness and gossip. Bo Tien 武天 points out that all religions are one in goodness and peace for the world. But religion or a temple can end up as the stage for the battling of the egos of men.

Keep the silence even if the mind is not silent

No 1509 of Living Life Series 1

Smile more and shut the gap
Silence is golden. Even God keeps his silence.

Keeping silence is worthy action.

Actions speak louder than words.

Judge not lest ye be judged.

Talk not of others as walls have ears.

Others can carry tales and what you say can come back to haunt you

Even your good comments can be mistakened as insincere and sarcasm.

Talk not of others and others will talk less about you.

Gossip is never good, however good may be your intention.

Gossip invites gossip about you and will boomerang back at you.

It is best to talk less.

A person with pure mind and inner peace has less need to talk.

Quiet time and mindfulness require us to talk less.

Shut our big gap lest filth comes out; and even if there is no filth, others may regard what we say as filth.

In a religious place, this is very relevant and also applies to world outside of religion. This duality is explained to us by Bo Tien 武天 .

Whatever comes forth from our big gaps cannot be taken back.

So be mindful and think before we talk.

To err on side if caution, do keep the silence and have more peace.

Keep the silence even if the mind is not silent.

Cultivate the habit of keeping the big gap shut and not let the monkey mind have its way to spew nonsense that creates endless problems.

Worse still is when some speak nonsense in the name of God and saints. This is perhaps the ultimate filth that can come out of the big mouth.

Thus in the 49 days purity observance before the big day of Bo Tien 武天 on the thirteenth day of the ninth lunar month, many observe self enforced shutting the big gap from midnight to noon in addition to meditation and vegetarian meals.

The choice of God is not the choice of men

No 1508 of Living Life Series 1

The religious leaders of any religion or mission should be the choice of God and saints, never for the choice of men.

But how good the leaders are should not be for men to decide. God and saints can choose imperfect men to be leaders if God and saints want to train them. Other men should not question divine decree.

This is the view of Bo Tien 武天 that is applicable to all religions.
But if such leaders break the laws of the land, then they should face the laws of the land. God and saints should not be the excuse to overrule the authority of the land.

Perhaps, if a temple is run by those who are not interested in doctrine of life, this should not be reason for those others to say that they have no place in a temple and cannot run the temple.

If religious leaders who know more of the truth of life and God stay put in temple, many who are not so doctrine orientated will distance themselves from the temple.

These many are the ones who need to be in the temple. They need to be near though far from God and saints.

Another perspective is that if the religious leaders have no more roles in a temple, then isn't this good?

This will make them orbit outside the temple and reach out to the world to spread the doctrine of life and God.

Never judge anyone as not suitable for temple or doctrine. Remember the choice of God and saints is not the choice of men.

Sometimes, if religious leaders have erred and not doing according to the Word of God, it may be God's way to let such men know indirectly. Such men are likely to break the laws of the land in the name of God. Then, they have to face the repercussions of the laws of the land and hopefully wake up and be wiser. Isn't this too the choice of God?

Do not use God to overrule the laws of the land. Give to God what is due to God and the land what is due to the land. In heaven, there are the laws of God and on Earth there are the laws of the ruler - the authority that rules.

This is stressed by Bo Tien 武天. He reminds all that this is present in any religion or sect but men can corrupt and defile the pure teachings of God and put words into the mouth of God.

Such men may think that the ways of God applies to the land. This is the odd thinking of some men but not of God and saints. The choice of some men to extend the jurisdiction of God is not the way or choice of God. The choice of God is not the choice of men.

Be humble and peaceful to bring out more of the same

No 1507 of Living Life Series 1

Like it or not, we must accept that the consequence of self interests is why we meet others with more self interests than us.

We too must accept that running away from who we are can never be the case either.

We have to be at peace with self and with the self interests we have.

In so doing, we can gradually tone down the self interests and have more peace in us. Then we can accept the self interests of others and not blow up the self interests in them.

Isn't that true and the way to have less problem with others?

We need to learn to reassure others not to feel threatened by us. We can only do so by showing interest in others and not impose our interests and views on them.

We have to be humble when others want to be exalted.

Then we must show love for them in way we love ourselves.

This is not to love them for their ego but to love them even if they are egoistic.

Then we can learn from them the woes they inflict on themselves because of ego and feel sorry for them.

We must love others the way we would like to love ourselves. There should be no denial of self, neither do we deny the self of others.

We accept others for what they are and ourselves too for what we are. No need for guilt and fear of others or of ourselves.

No need to fear God and no need for not being able to accept that God will accept us for what we are. But God will appreciate us even more if we can be better than that.

Listen if we want to be listened . Appreciate their presence at work or outside work. Then they will accept us.

Hear others first if we even want to be heard. Humble ourselves first if we hope others can be humble and pleasant with us. Let all be humble and peaceful to bring out more of the same in others.

Isn't this exhortation universal to all religions race and culture? This exhortation is in all religions. This Bo Tien 武天 reminds us.

Common good in religions, societies and cultures

No 1506 of Living Life Series 1

When men want to discredit their predecessors or ancestors of the past, they rewrite history and make the ancestors appear not logical by saying that what they did are not what the men wanted.

But what they did were exactly why the men of the present lot came to be where they are now.

Of course, what the predecessors did were logical in the context of the old times but if applied to the present would likely appear not so. The contexts and situations have become very different.

But the present lot would be relentless in discrediting and even go further to absurdity by pointing that they are the ones who saved the community and without them, what the ancestors did was detrimental to the society.

These unscrupulous men paint themselves as the saviors for without them, the society would be not existing. They never stop pointing out that the predecessors or ancestors are the bane and they, the present lot, are the heroes.

This happens in any religion, sect or temple or in any culture. Bo Tien 武天 wants us to learn from the lessons of life and why men tend to be like that.
What happens is because of the ego or "I thoughts." Religion is supposed to promote humility and no ego, to give credit to where credit is due and not to sink and discredit others for their own credit and standing.

If they have merits and potential of their own, is there the need to discredit others? Is there the need to blow off the other candle flames so that the candle flames of the few left can stand out?

Bo Tien 武天 says that candle flames must come together to cast more light to dispel the darkness of life.
By blowing out as many other candle flames, the ignorant hope that their candle flames are the only ones left. The few candle flames left will not be effective in dispelling darkness and will instead usher in more darkness.

This too can be the not-so-good approach of one sect of a religion when they try to snuffle out into less significance the other sects, so that their own sect only becomes noticeable.

Religions and sects are supposed to work together, to complement one another so that there is more light to reach out and dispel darkness - to bring more to God and the goodness God and saints stand for.

All are to complement one another to dispel darkness, not to snub out the attractions of others.

But when "I thoughts" or ego takes over the minds of men, there is more darkness than there is light.

The festival of lights Deepavali teaches all the need to complement one another to dispel darkness and bring more light to all. This comes as no surprise and is what Bo Tien 武天 wants everyone to know regardless of religion, race or cultures.
Well, Bo Tien 武天 essence is in all religions, societies and cultures. There is need to recognise the goodness of all religions, societies and cultures. There is no need for upmanship. There is no need to displace others. All need to truly and continuously live and let live and appreciate one another despite the apparent differences.
The basic goodness cannot be presented just in one way but in many ways. Some in society tend to think one is better than others and others should not be there at all. This is wrong. See the goodness in everyone and in every religion, race or culture. All can learn from others and be better than what they are in the process. This is the mission of God through Bo Tien 武天

Some say God runs religion and a man his own life

No 1505 of Living Life Series 1

We do not run others' lives. Others should not run our lives or we will run away from them for dear life.

For those who are in the mission of  Bo Tien武天, they must remember this. Bo Tien 武天 does not run their lives and they should not run his mission the way they deem fit.

Let him run the mission and not let men run it instead. If a few decide to run the mission and not let others have their say, then many will run away from the mission. Bo Tien 武天 will run the mission himself. Thus Bo Tien 武天 says the mission is by Divinity and not by men.

How can any man think that he can run the mission for him? That is unthinkable but the unthinkable can happen. That is why men can even fight over how the mission should be.

This problem of men wanting to run others' lives is the very reason why every sect or religion is a divided house. When will men stop running a religion and let God do so?

This has not happened and is why Bo Tien 武天 descended in 1969 to correct this. We must remind ourselves not to run others lives and running the religions of the day.

God knows and all men should not run religions but let God and saints do so. All cannot even run their own lives but yet want to run others' lives and religion.

Don't run others lives or men will end up running away from them and from any religion run by men instead of God.

For the big day of Bo Tien 武天 on the 13th day of ninth lunar month, we should emphasise on letting others run their own lives and God and saints to run religions, not men.

Bo Tien 武天 will run the mission God entrusted to him. When did Bo Tien 武天 say that men can do so for him? Let this be food for thought.
