The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Second coming of Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨

No 1052 of Living Life Series 1

The first coming of the good lord as Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 is in 1969. He spoke through Philip Png for less than a decade. He said that he had given his teachings to enable men to understand the oneness of religions and to be better at the religion they are in.
His message will reach out to the world like the ocean to many a land. But he was also concerned that men at ground zero where he descended in 1969 may end up not of one mind.

The problems and issues of men are many and plentiful. He added that when a strong wind blow, many will be swept away. That strong wind refers to people not in concord.

Those who decided to make nest with the arising of the concrete building will have their way. They wanted to do things their way and make a success out of the temple that arose consequent to his descent in 1969. They would rather have this. To them, this comes first.

They are like new subcontractors and decided that it would be better to have their way. They wanted to make the world out of the temple rather than the world as their temple. There will be problems as such.

Those not in the same frequency will stray and lose heart. The temple men would rather focus not on doctrine outreach to the world but on worldly success out of the temple. This the lord said is also good in itself and they will make their mark.

But when they are ready for more than this and join hands with those who see the need to make doctrine and not the temple as the staging board, then there will be oneness in purpose. That will herald the second coming through intermediary like the late Philip Png.

That day may not be in the offing if the men want to make the world out of the temple and not the temple out of the world. But the mission to make the temple out of the world will carry on even if men are not ready. Heaven is ready and wait not for men to be ready.

Even the rare few best of men may not be ready. If they try to run before they can walk, what would you expect? There will of course be problems.

Perhaps it is better to leave to the new subcontractors. They may not do it for the best of reasons but at least they can do more somehow.

Ultimately the near may be far and the far near. Didn't the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 say so? Yes, he did.
After all, there are two sides to a man but we always look at one side most of the time and that too is a problem. The problems of men are indeed many and plentiful and this is as what the good lord wants us to know.

We must be above problems and be at peace. When at peace, we encounter less problems or rather problems don't seem to be problematic. We have an easier time.

Mission is for all to be better at what they are

No 1051 of Living Life Series 1

Lord Bo Tien's 武天菩萨 message on the oneness in basic truth of religions is worthy of the world and beyond. The temple of the good lord is too small a place for his doctrine.
The message is non partisan and is for the world. The basic doctrine will bring out the better awakening of men through their respective religions.

Yes, the good lord's doctrine is worthy of the world and beyond, and his temple is too small a place for his doctrine.

But we still need the temple as reference and historical point to show that it is like any other temple and needs doctrine to be better than what it is.

So if indeed there are shortcomings in the temple, well, these just go to show what the good lord says is right on the dot.

His temple demonstrates the need for doctrine and since the temple is the people, people need to be better in whatever religion or doctrine they are in. This is the mission.

Men of the lord need to be better as people of the temple and of the wider society. Mission after all is for all to be better at what they are.

It is as simple as that but yet profound. It is not easy to perceive when men are carried away by the ways of the world.

As the good lord says, people coming to any temple of any religion may become like insects coming to the flower for nectar. Blame not the flower.

There is need to awaken men to the doctrine basic and common to all religions so as to make them better at what they are meant to be. This basic doctrine becomes diluted and buried after the passing of the founders and pioneers when each successive generation added their two cents worth to attract the crowd.

Over centuries the traditions and add-on of worldly nature added in layers become predominant. People end up focusing on having worldly nectar through of all places a temple.

Religion becomes like archaeological grounds for the more serious and wise to dig into to get at the basic truth common to all religions. The good lord provides the basic truth first hand to all regardless of religions or sects. That way they can be better at what they are.

Mission to save souls is by Heaven and not by men - a poignant reminder

No 1050 of Living Life Series 1

Men are the ones who need help and they are not perfect. They are not yet saints. They are the ones who need to be in a temple to receive help and guidance.

Alas there are no saints among them and and like it or not they do run a temple. But in running a temple, they may think they can teach others when they themselves still need to be taught by God and heavenly saints.

Even the elders in the temple who know more still need to cultivate and to learn to be better. They are far from saintly. Admittedly, they are the best bets to run a temple and to lead.

The stark reality is that no matter what, men are never ready and only God and heavenly saints are ready in the mission to teach men how to cultivate themselves spiritually and be saved.

Unfortunately, like it or not, there will be those who know too little and think they can be in the forefront. They side step the elders and the pioneers.

Even the pioneers though knowing more are still far from ready to save others. When they try to correct the situation and to do their two cents worth, they rub the men around the wrong way round. How then can there be no problems?

Thus the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that God and saints are ready but men are not. He reiterates that the mission to save souls through any religion is by Heaven (God and heavenly saints) and not by men.
He also says that where there are men, there will be problems. The problems and issues of men are many and plentiful.
Thus religions and sects instead of complementing one another may end up not doing as well in this direction. Temples which should be examples of what the world should not be end up no different from the world with the same problems and pain in the neck as the rest of the world.

But they are still needed and the mission of the good lord is to correct their shortcomings so that they can be better at being what they are and should be.

His mission is to save souls through existing religions and temples. It is never his intention to start a new temple, least of all a new sect or existing religion though his descent in 1969 required that he descended and made known his mission in a temple setting.

Everything happens for a reason

No 1049 of Living Life Series 1

Everything happens for a reason. We may think that it may be by chance but have we look further back to know why it is so?

The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that where there is men and as long as there are men, even in a temple, the issues of men are many and plentiful. The whole problem is that men are not yet saints and if they are, is there the need for them to be in a temple or is there the need for a temple in the first place?
Likewise, for the unfortunate few who are disadvantaged in life, they may think that heaven is not fair. The question is why are they disadvantaged.

Is the cause in them, in the present life or in the past lives? Some refer to this as fate. But it is just matter of as we sow, so will we reap.

If we over reap and there is no bank balance of good merits store, then what do we expect. Live in moderation and never indulge for indulgence creates problems and uses up good fate.

A heavenly saint may start a new temple but in is in the nature of men that insects will be attracted to the flower for nectar. Blame not the flower for insects coming to it. This did the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 say.

Any temple may start off well with zest and love but ends up down the road with something far from love for one and all - becoming exclusive to a select few and hostile to those who differing views. Who do we point fingers at? Certainly, it has to do with lack of upbringing in doctrine and practice.

If  a couple wants easy life and have less children, when they grow old and the children are unable to support them adequately, who do they blame?

Well, isn't it true that everything happens for a reason. If for any reason, you do not believe in this, then there is a reason too for you to be like that. Everything happens for a reason.

We do know everything happens for a reason but sometimes we wish we know what it was. If indeed we do not know, then there must be a reason for not knowing.

Everything happens for a reason. Live it, love it and learn from it. Make your smile change the world, but don't let the world change your smile.

Whatever happens, what matters is that you are alive. Not only must you be alive but you must be alive to life - not dead to life. That is the way to be.

Wake up and live. Be thankful to the bad things in life for they open your eyes to the good things in life.

Prophets might die or be crucified but through their deaths they open up life beyond death - life beyond the bad things. Good will result even through the worst of bad things which is death. Isn't that the message?

Everything happens for a reason. If indeed, bad things happen in a temple, it is the sign that good things will come about. Just wait and see. Seeing is believing.

Lord Bo Tien on the laws of the land and of God

No 1048 of Living Life Series 1

The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 reminds all in any temple or religion to obey the laws of the land in as much as they want to obey with the laws of God and saints.

It is necessary that in any temple there must be separation of the management of the two. There must be the administrative body and the spiritual body. Each body must take the directions from the other.

The spiritual body must not try to administer and to even influence administration and money matters.

Likewise, the administrative body must take directions on spiritual from the spiritual body but remains the authority on financial and administrative matters.

If the administrative body calls the tune and overrides the spiritual body, then  there will be loss of spiritual direction. There will be more worldly than spiritual calling.

If the spiritual body dictates what the administrative body should do, then financial prudence and compliance to the laws of the land may be thrown to the wind. Governance will be poor.

This is a perspective of the application of yin yang balance which the good lord refers to in his latter messages.
It is for this reason that historically he chose Elder Ling as temple head and P. Philip as spiritual leader. P. Philip would never have made it as temple head and Elder Ling as spiritual leader.

But if in time, men rewrite history and forgo the two appointments to run a temple, then what will become of the temple? Ask Elder Ling if you want to know more.

Oneness in trinity will suffice or is this so?

No 1047 of Living Life Series 1

Where is the oneness of God and saints when in the temple, there arose many altars when one altar will do to represent the pantheon of God and saints.

There is oneness in trinity of Buddha, Goddess of Mercy and Lord Bo Tien at Bo Tien Temple in the old days.

Where is the need for more altars and shrines? But men who know less want more.

So what is the problem with that or rather is this an issue? It depends on where you come from.

But if you want to go by the Word, then less is more and more is less. Why is this so?

The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that those who see his image but sees not the Word, does not know him or see him. The Word is his image and his image is the Word. He said this, didn't he?
This applies to God and all heavenly saints. In fact ultimately, there is no need for images let alone any image if we have the Word at heart.

A plethora of altars and images will not do to abide by this teaching.

Moreover as the good lord says that the universal temple is the world with sky or heaven as the roof and religions the pillars.

In such a temple, there is no altar let alone images. Life itself is the gospel or Word. There is no need for images if we have and live by the Word.

Making the temple out of the world

No 1046 of Living Life Series 1

Men who go to a temple to find worldly satisfaction often end up creating more of dissatisfaction for themselves for the temple is no different from the likes of the world.

This is because they want the world out of the temple they go to. But if this is the case, they might as well stay put with the world.

Instead of trying to make the world out of a temple, they should make the temple out of the world.

But those who are unhappy with what they can get out of the world often go to a temple and after some time if they fail to see the light of heaven and see only more of the darkness of the world, then they will leave the temple for the world again.

But while they stay put in the temple, they may create more darkness and problems for those who go there for light.

But is there the need to go to a temple?
Well, the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 has this to say. The true temple is the world and the sky is the roof of the temple. Religions are the pillars. All beings are already in this temple.

The gospel of this temple is life. Life is the living gospel.

Unlike a concrete temple, the world belongs to all. All are part of the world.

But only a handful are part of a concrete temple built by men. Such is the reality of what a temple should ideally not be. Many may be the devotees but few are members because of turf guarding. Why keep a temple to a few?

But alas this often is the case and that is the problem because temple is made up of men. The problems of men are many and plentiful. The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 did say this.

Well, well what can we expect when in all likelihood, men who run a temple are worldly and have egos that are big and space occupying - just like cancer.

Ego like cancer if not nipped in the bud can devour and swallow up not only the man but other men as well. Of course it can swallow up a temple built with the sweat and blood of pioneers and good men.

Better get out of the way of ego crazy men in a temple. Better get out of the confines of a temple and be in the world. Make the temple out of the world and not think the world of a temple.

We can worship God better in the world. But in a temple built by men for God, we more likely have to worship men first before we can even smell God.

It is one thing to believe but it is another to try to put into practice. It is onerous to abide by the norm that man is man and saint is saint - or rather God is God. This too did the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 say and this applies to all regardless of whatever religious persuasions.

Hope this post with pearls of wisdom from the good lord make all better in whatever religion or culture they are in - better at what they are and not change or convert them to be poor examples or replicas of what they are not.

Make the temple out of the world. In fact, we can better meditate in the world  of our home and even experience the holy spirit of God.

For Taoists and believers of deities like Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨, the unspeakable mystical divine force or energy of art of power tingling and coursing inexplicably through the limbs and body on invitation can be equally accessible out there in the world. This adds further credence that we make the temple out of the world.

The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that the sky or heaven is the roof of the temple. All religions are the pillars and all are already in this temple though they may not know it.

Many even want to leave it to be in a concrete temple built by men. Isn't this ironical? But please don't laugh at this. This is serious matter and not a joke.

Forget not the wider mission of Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨.

No 1045 of Living Life Series 1

Like it or not, the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 descended in 1969 not just to set  up a temple but to show that all religions are one in doctrine and mission to save souls.
There was then already one religion or sect too many. There was and still is one temple too many.

Charity is good and good works should take the lead but most important good work is to save souls.

In this spirit, like Elder Ling, we should never believe in making the world out of the temple but the temple out of the world.

After all, to echo what Lord Bo Tien says, "The world is the temple and heaven is the roof with religions as the pillars."

We must outgrow the cocoon of a temple to reach out to the world to save souls.

But some prefer to stay put and not reach out. This would not be in keeping with the wider mission of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨.

Let not men deceive themselves and others in thinking that they are doing what the lord wants them to do. But alas there will always be some who want to rewrite and change history.

Even if they do so for whatever reason, so long as good is done, they will receive good in return. This is the assurance given by the lord.

So do not chide others but empathize with them as to why they are like that. At least they are good enough to do some good. One day, they will be better than the good they are now.

Remember, the representatives of the good lord say he is like the great ocean that reaches out to many a shore. His mission is more than just a concrete building .... and his purview is more than an island.

Let not men overshadow and eclipse God and saints

No 1044 of Living Life Series 1

If in going to a temple we need to please men in charge of the temple before we can get near to the spirituality of the temple let along God and saints, then it is best to have second thoughts. Is this the temple of men ? Is this the temple of God and saints?

The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that man is man and saint is saint. See not the saint in man and the man in saint.

Often the inner core members are the ones with the problem and they see the saint in man and the man in saint. They are near and yet far.

The devotees who come only on festive seasons see not the men running the temple and only the God and saint of the temple. They are far and yet near. They thus get more blessings.

Men running a temple can get carried away and think that their control of a temple makes them great and they blow up their ego and think they can act for God and saint. Aren't they near and yet far?

They can control the concrete building but not the temple of God and saint. The good lord says that the sky or heaven is the roof and religions are the pillars. In fact, men of diverse interests and persuasions are the pillars.

Then wouldn't it be odd for a group of men to want a concrete temple for themselves and exclude other groups. They are just not in line with the doctrine or Word of the good lord. Moreover the good lord says that in his image is the Word and in the Word we see him.
Balance of yin and yang is the way as depicted by the feet of the lord on elements There must be co-existence and harmony of opposites and diversity.

The temple of the lord must embody diversity and not monopoly of one group. All groups must flourish and not be diminished by other groups. Be it religions or groups of men, this applies.

In a family too, the father cannot dominate and rule out the mother or children, worse still expel them. The mother or child too cannot do likewise. They can work as separate and yet complement and be one whole. This is as should be and ever should be.

Men are family but when it comes to worldly inheritance, then they may go for one another's throat. They are supposed to love one another but end up hating one another.

What has become of the loving kindness eschewed by God and saints? What has become of their faiths in God and saints and their teachings on universal love when they don't even care for love for their brethren?

When the sky rains, it would be like heaven shedding tears that matters have become like that. This the good lord says.

The problems of men have eclipsed the goodness of God and saints. Men keep the goodness of the temple of saint to themselves and hold on to the temple for their own selfish good. How good can such good be? The good lord says that the problems of men are many and plentiful.

The resulting disrespect for men and elders of differing views can be so bad that they deny and rewrite history they have a hand in writing. They end up not respecting not only elders and others but degrade their claimed respect to God and saints.

It is for good reason that respect for elders is one of the universal precepts put up by the lord saint and em-placed for posterity on the wall of his temple. If there is no respect for the precepts, how can there be respect for God and saints.

The precepts enshrined the doctrine of God and saints. If there is no extension of iota of love to elders and others, how can there be spirituality in such men. What has become of them and their spirituality?

Do take a leaf from any temple of the lord saint where no group of men will overshadow and eclipse other groups, let alone elders and pioneers. By doing so, they uphold the good name of God and saint.

But at times, men can get carried away and need to be mindful that this will not happen. After all, it is in men to have problems. The problems of men are many and plentiful and can happen even in any temple or holy place. God bless them and will be with them regardless of the failings and transgressions of men.

Of course, there will be other temples who are better and shining examples and they in fact may be nearer to the good lord than any temple bearing his good name. The far may be near. This did he say.

Well, people do differ in opinion. This is alright and there must be no love lost for those who differ. This is the way of the spiritual.

That is why we have not just one religion or sect but many religions and many sects with any religion. There must still be the oneness amid the diversity that characterizes religion.  This is the central message of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨

But somehow, despite the clarity of this message, many may not practice it. They are carried away by ego and ego creates problems. The problems of men after all are many and plentiful. No temple or man will be spared from this.

So what if they are carried away by the ego. This does not make them less worthy of God and saints.

In fact, they too are the very ones who need more guidance if they are receptive enough. God and saints can wait for them to be receptive. Meanwhile, what better place can they be than in a temple though it may be true that they may overshadow and eclipse God and saints.

What is the purpose or call of life?

No 1043 of Living Life Series 1

People who are the least spiritual go to a temple for worldly nectar, just like insects and ants going to the flower for nectar. This was mentioned by the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨
But if this is what they want, so long as they do some good, they will get it. Doing good is the first step in the call to spiritual. But often more get sidelined and go for worldly nectar. They want worldly gains which become the ends and not the means to spiritual.

For those more savvy with the world and want worldly nectar, certainly there is more out there beyond the temple. Many will end up going for this and the temple becomes no longer their arena of orbit or at most their minor or subsidiary domain.

Are you one of them? If you are, it is time to reflect and make good. The good lord says that it is unavoidable that people ask for worldly blessings or nectar. This is what all want and this will enable them to have easier life and hopefully easier life will facilitate awakening of the spiritual horizon.

There is need to meet worldly needs but this is only the means to the end. The end is heaven and peace here and now.

But how to have peace if we lust for more of the world? The quest for more and more brings no peace.

At the other extreme, how can there be peace and heaven when we deny our worldly nature and forgo the flesh.

All of us must know what is the purpose or call of life. What is the purpose or call of life? May peace be with you.

Sometimes, a period of fasting may serve as a wake up call. One such fasting is the 49 days purity observance before mission day of the good lord. Then people learn to have less and yet have more. They have peace with less - avoiding none and one too many.
