The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Lunar New Year with many a new beginning

No 821 of Living Life Series 1

A new beginning is what Lunar New Year is all about. The new must arise from the old. Creation is just like that. The first beginning there may not be for the created is the creator and the creator is the created. We welcome the new but we must value the old. Isn't that the spirit of Lunar New Year where we value the old and the elders among us and welcome the new additions to the family and to society. That is Lunar New Year.
It is the time of the year to let our fantasy flow to the highest heaven and to the universe beyond the visible universe we know. The sky they say is the limit but to the sages of Taoism, even the universe we know is not the limit. They shared with us that there are three supra-universes beyond the visible universe we are in.

Are these the black holes that scientists talk about that are far more massive than the universe we know? Well, we will never know, or perhaps they may be.

Each of the three supra universes far out-sized the visible universe which is already of mind boggling dimensions. Well, the sages of Taoism want us to know that each of the three is controlled by the Three Pure Ones.

In time immemorial, there was just primordial energy and no masses. Then arose from the purest essence of this primordial energy, the First Pure One. The First take on the Second and the Second the Third. Each created from the primordial energy his own supra-universe. Each has his own host of super divine beings.

The Jade Emperor is one of such beings sent by the First Pure One out of the supra-universe to create from the less pure remnants of the primordial energy the visible universe we are in with its yin and yang polarities which are in constant dynamic flux.

In every universe, there are the astral and physical. Supra-universes are inhabited by the astral and visible universe by both the astral and physical beings.

Those beings that are high up spiritually have vastly more energy than lower beings. The lower the energy levels, the less stable, and decay and impermanence are more obvious. Only the Three Pure Ones and their retinues which includes God the Jade Emperor are from the supra universes.

They are relatively stable and lasting. They are like Buddhas stable and omnipresent and one can never pinpoint them at any place. They are pervasive and can be anywhere and at several places at the same time.

Human beings and other life forms have lesser energy and not stable. Life span compared to the likes of the higher beings is short and fleeting. Life is as short as a dream compared to the near eternity of the high beings. Because life is short, the flip side is that there are many new beginnings and opportunities. Changes occur quick and fast. These changes afford many new beginnings within life. That is good.

A new beginning is what Lunar New Year is all about. The new must arise from the old. Creation is just like that. There is always a new beginning. Life is just like that for most beings but not so for a few like God the Jade Emperor, the Three Pure Ones and their retinues of the supra universes as well as the enlightened ones the Buddhas. We are given new and added opportunities by ever more of many a new beginning. Lunar New Year celebrates that many more of a new beginning we will always have to give new hopes and opportunities.
The many episodes of big bang of fire crackers set off during Lunar New Year are reminiscent of the big bang of creation of the universe when energy coalesced, imploded and exploded. The paper litter on the floor after the firing of firecrackers is not unlike the formation of planets, meteors and interplanetary dust.

The late P. Philip too has been given many a new beginning and will come banging back into the mission of the good lord Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) not only once but time and time again. He is near and yet far and though far he is near. The good lord says that the far is near and the near far.
That certainly is the way men move up the ladder of success - 步步高升

Time and time again, we are near and yet far from success and yet near though far from success. Success come like the banging of fire crackers. Every step we take contributes to success and with every step, we learn more on how to go about life.

We may get a banging or two here and there to cheer us up and at times to wake us up. That is fine. After all that is life and this is evident of the dual nature of life in the visible universe - the yin and the yang. We must harness both to move up in life step by step - move by move - 步步高升
步步高升
At each step though the learning is not easy, God and saints through our elders will give us the push through blessings - through red packets.
