The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

The oddities of humanity

No 795 of Living Life Series 1

Human beings can be pitiful and yet wonderful people. They are born so that they will surely die. But they live as though others will die but not them.

On top of that, they think that just by believing in a sage, they need not cultivate the Word in life and they will be in paradise.

More ridiculous than that is that men have so much time to waste. They can argue till kingdom comes why their sect is better than another even if of the same religion, what more if they are of different religions. They might even bring the sky down.

But God and saints above know too well they are too wishful and simplistic in approach. When will men wake up and learn? There is this perennial oddity of humanity. Heaven is amazed that humanity can be like that.

Beings like men have long way to go if they are to get out of the problems of birth and deaths - rebirth that is. But they think there is no rebirth but only eternal heaven or hell after this present life. This does serve a purpose to enabled people to reconcile with life and not be lost.

There is however more to reality than this simplistic thinking. Men are pathetically always dreaming away and wishing for instant paradise or cursing others to eternity in hell.

They create fantasy and dream away oblivious of the reality and complexity that abound - a complexity that they self-create. They sell their dreams to one another and are even creative and innovative at that much to the amazement of those above. They find security and solace in numbers. They want others to join in their dreams to make it more real.

But these are the very people who are near to God and saints though far they may be. The far may be near and the near far. The good lord Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) said that didn't he?
The issues and problems of men are many and plentiful. This did the good lord Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) say. That is why humanity cannot go without religions.

But in a way, religions need men to hive up the fantasy and awe of spirituality, never mind if at times odd and far fetched not because of God and sages but because of men. Men will ever be men till they be saints.

When life gets going, men praise God and saints but when life gets tough, they too praise God and saints for the chance to learn from the adversity of life. Has this remotely to do with what they refer in old China as Tao - the balancing of yin and yang?

Perhaps it is just common sense. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going because they have the will, the fortitude and the right thinking and believing.

But some will know this has nothing to do with God and saints. This is just the true nature of life or the truth in life. All the same, it is still good to praise God and the saints above (and even below) for both our fortunes and misfortunes, for the easy part and the tough part of life - to learn from them and to be wiser from the learning. Cheers.
But don't cheer too early if you happen to be one of a kind. There is that kind who thinks the world of judgement day. They think they live to die and die they must. They wait with abated breath the death they expect.

But when tomorrow comes, they have not breathed their last. This is another of the queer oddities of humanity though an uncommon one - more often to do with cult.

By now, you would know what has gone wrong and what is the solution. If not, read this article or post once more to know the answer. Cheers then and all the way....
