When we don't agree with one another, there is need for give and take.
Even in a family, if there is no give and take and respect for one another for whatever differences of views, then there will be problems.
Thus families are able to stay together or at least have reunion on festivals and weddings. Husbands and wives can quarrel and squabble but because of give and take they not only stay together as couples but remain loving to one another .
We must go for the common ground and not highlight the differences. This has to be the way to go.
The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨reminds us that religions may appear different because of men but in reality, there is much common ground.
The common ground brings men together and the differences if any are due to men having personalities and this can happen even with the same religion or those of the same geographical, social, political or cultural color.
Differences make individuals distinctive. Differences within society should be the attractiveness in any society.
There is need to give and take when differences can turn ugly. Yes, there is need to have give and take and to see oneness amid diversity.
The differences of religions is no reason for conflicts. Differences too can arise even with best of friends. But there is no conflict.
Friends generally stay together. The reason is that there is friendship and with friendship, there is give and take.
For give and take between religions, they must live together and practice freely in one another's backyard - perhaps in the same family, office and village. This allows for knowing one another.
Acquaintance bring friendship. Friends are friends because of give and take where they differ and disagree. Give and take promote kinship.
If there is no give and take even in a temple of the lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨, there will be no religiosity even with those in the same temple or religion.
If God and saints do not close one eye to our differences with them (God and saints) especially our wrongs, what will become of us? We may not even see eye to eye with God and saints even as God and saints do not see eye to eye with us in some areas.
It is because of give and take, that we are in their good books. Give and take is good and even divine. Give and take enlarges the common ground between God and saints and men.
If not for give and take, Heaven will be Heaven and Earth will be Earth. We will not have God and saints on Earth and men in Heaven even if they have erred and fall short of expectations.
There is even God and saints in Hell to help those in Hell. Give and take by God and saints allow for this. Give and take is good and divine.
Many in a temple do not cultivate the divine give and take. They go for one another's throat and sue one another in court depleting personal and temple funds.
