No 758 of Living Life Series 1
When life is unbearable, man is in hell. Hell is not just the Hell down there but the hell that man has in life when he cannot make life tick and make ends meet.
But to the man of spirituality, he can live in dire circumstances and still connect with spiritual peace amid the harshness of life. Even if he is in hell, he can have peace and realization of the true nature of life. He comes to terms and is at peace most importantly with himself and the life that he has - even if he is in actual living Hell.
Instances abound in Buddhist scriptures of The Buddha referring to those in Hell who have attained the first stage of enlightenment.
Hell is not the making of God and saints but the making of Hell. If one who is in Hell can see the light and be awakened to the inner peace of enlightenment, then he has tasted bliss of enlightenment that is more than heavenly as even many in Heaven have yet to have such bliss.
There is bliss more than heavenly for the wise even if they are in Hell, be it in hell on earth or anywhere.
The man of Tao or Way is at peace with life come what may. He is not affected by the world in him and the world he is in. He is atop the yin and yang within him and the world he lives in.
He has the inner peace to deal with life and does not wait for life to give him peace. He basks in bliss of inner peace that even many in Heaven may not have.
This is attainable for anyone and in any religion. Religion is just the means to the end and not the end in itself. The doctrine or way to inner peace is in all religions. This is the inner truth message of Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) - the messenger of God to reawaken men to the inner truth in all religions.
His mission is to awaken men of religions to the inner truth in life so that they can have inner peace through their respective religions or even if they have none.
He is not here to start new religion, sect or temple. That his image is in a temple with his name is just incidental to show that even in traditional style Chinese temple, inner peace is still within reach.
But his temple does not look like the run-of-mill temple though it has a Chinese temple name. Cheers.
