The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

God provides or is this the case?

No 755 of Living Life Series 1

There are two approaches in religion.

One approach is that men are capable of the highest good and can do so.

But the other approach would have us believe that men cannot do so and God must provide.

God provides through sages and heavenly saints. But, no one in any sane mind will do nothing and just let God provide. There is no free lunch even if it is truly free. There will always be the need to do something in return for the lunch. We still need to work for our keeps.

Then when life actually and truly does not turn out as expected, and men feel let down by God, the men at the pulpit rationalize that God provides based on his divine expectations and thus if prayers do not turn out as expected, that is it. God goes by his own divine expectations for us and not men's own mortal expectations.

God wants to test men and some are fated to have bad events in life - just bad luck that's all or is this the case?

God provides or is this the case?  But some will say that only fools will think that they can depend on themselves and not trouble God. There will always be times when men are falling off the slippery slope of life.

How can they save themselves if God do not come into the picture? Some do reckon that there will be no bad fate or karma if God provides.

Well men are men after all. It takes all kinds of men and their thinking to make up this world. The issues and rationalization of men are many and plentiful. This observation was made by Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨)

Men may seem to have plenty of time to while and waste their time away. Men at times solve issues by creating more issues. Men can be trapped by their own rationalization. That would be pitiful in a way.

Men answer questions but their answers may result in need for raising of more questions. Their answers may pose more questions. How then to have more peace or rather true peace of spirit?

Religions are meant to provide inner peace but some men may hijack religions to create no peace in the name of peace for all.

Why? The reason is simple. Some men always have excuse to find fault but God and saints don't.

God provides or is this the case? After all, God helps those who help themselves. But wouldn't it be wonderful if it could work both ways? Who wouldn't want the best of both worlds?

Well, it is up to the believer to decide on what to believe and to make life work the way he wants. That is why there are many religions and sects and there are those who belong to none and choose what they want the free and easy way - the so-called free thinker who would rather be referred to as the real thinkers. The latter do not tinker with religion though as they find religion not to their taste and liking.
