The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

What is the real gain in life?

No 765 Of Living Life Series 1

Heaven does feel for men for whatever good men have may not last forever but at most a life time. Most don't even last the mile and fall well short of a life time.

Yet men want blessings and blessings men will get though heaven knows that they don't last but men still want them, who won't?

In a way, it is pitiful to be men - to live and only to die in the end. But men still have to make use of what life has in store and to live life well but wisely, knowing full well all that glitters do not last and are not gold. Gold may last but the owner will not. That is the issue, isn't it.

What we have, we need to have but the wise one goes for the value of life - the lessons that life have in store and not just the fleeting gains of life. We lose what we gain but we still need to gain or be left behind.

But what is lost is no loss if we can learn from the gains and losses of life - what sages of old refer to as the yin and yang. Learn from life and be better off. That is the real gain.

Even the image of a heavenly saint like Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) does not go on forever but will crack one day and may even be lifted up to heaven. At the temple of the lord, a majestic wooden image well carved with facial features so lively had a crack base which irked the good feeling of some. It was burnt and lifted to heaven as predicted by the lord two decades before it was burnt.

But what men must appreciate in an image is the doctrine and meaning in the image. The doctrine is in the image and the image is the doctrine.

The feet on elements two depict the need for dynamic balance of the yin and yang of life.

The right hand holds the scepter of mission to save souls and the left hand in salutation bids us to be steady and to seek guidance and shelter of Heaven to have success and blessings.

The multiple colored armor depicts the diversity of religions, race and culture in the world and that regardless of diversity, there is the same one way or truth for all to find peace and salvation. Take heart that there is oneness in diversity of religions.
