The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

A saint is for all and not just for worshipers

No 434 of Living Life Series 1

Thus have we heard that if it is said that someone claims that to have salvation, men must believe in a saint and only in him and no one else, then this cannot be the teaching of the saint but of unsaintly men who idolise him.

No saint will say that if he has the heart to reach out to as many beings in all dimensions. A saint has no jealousy and no ill will. A saint is not hurt by the wrong we do but he will feel for us and if we are indeed wanting in behavior, the saint would even want to help us more and bless us unconditionally. No conditions will be set. That is for sure if he is a saint.

He will show us the need to be unfettered by the issues of men and why we should not run away from yin and yang nor be fettered by yin and yang,

A saint will want us to sample the taste of deliverance. Only a devil of a man will tie others down in conditions that are binding and enslaving the minds of men. This will be far from deliverance.

As in the great ocean, there is but one taste, the taste of salt, so also with refuge in a saint of saints like Amitabha, there is but one taste, the taste of deliverance.

Amitabha assures that he will be for all beings who call out to his name. No preconditions or bargains are set, for he is a saint of saints. We just need to call out his name. We do not need even to belong to any religion or to worship him as the master.

In the vast ocean of life, should we feel lost and appalled, despair not, just call out his name OMITOFO. Lo and behold, whatever issues we face will seem to be no issue or at least no longer be big issues. Big issues will be small issues even if they cannot be no issue.

This is the promise or vow of Amitabha to all and not just to those who worship or idolise him. This dear friends is surely and truly wholesome, unsurpassed and unconditional compassion. We do not sell our souls to him before he will come to us.

The good that we reap from his blessings will however be more if we can make good even better by growing the good he bestowed on us. We can do good to others. Better still, we can grow the seed of his goodness and make good even better.

Amitabha is with us. Amitabha is for all and not just for those who idolise him. We only need to call out his name. A saint is for all and not just for worshipers.  Namo Omitofo.

Do let Ji Gong be in our hearts

No 433 of Living Life Series 1

We must commit our hearts to the Buddha thought. It is more important for the Buddha to be in our hearts than to be on the altar table. But the altar in a way is the heart of the house.

What matters is what is in the heart and not what one does or what goes through the gut. It is pointless to be vegetarian but foul in thoughts speech and deeds. What matters is the purity of the heart and not an outward show to impress other men.

Giving open testimony and yelling how good we are are mere outward show to get the approval of men and may even end up deceiving men and disappointing God and saints. God and saints are loving and can wait but men may not be so patient, magnanimous and benevolent.

Over and above the above approach to life, there is the need for simplicity in life, more so in the way we think and handle problems. What matters is to make issues simple and not add complexities.

When we commit our heart and are pure and sincere, we see simple solutions to problems in life. When we are muddled headed and fail to act with sincerity from the heart, problems just seem to get bigger and out of hand. Often, Ji Gong guides men out of life complexities and issues by showing that there are simple solutions. Often it is the simple solutions that will work.

This sums up the teaching of Ji Gong - The Living Buddha. If we cultivate the goodness, simplicity and purity in our hearts, call this Buddha or God nature, we will have less problems and more peace. We will be like Ji Gong.

Let us let Ji Gong live on in our hearts. Let us follow in his footsteps. We must be pure and simple right from within our hearts and not put on acts to seek approval of other men and complicate our lives. God and saints do not need us to please or kowtow (kneel down) to them. Why must we please and kowtow to men?

Like the lotus pure and sweet, our heart too will be the lotus amid the mud and water of the yin and yang of life.

We must learn from the Living Buddha the Way or Tao to balance the yin and yang - depicted as two dragons supporting pearl of Tao by sages of old. That is why Ji Gong is also the Dragon Taming Arahat in his earlier reincarnation.

Later sages depict this yin yang balance or synergy as the complete harmony of the fish-like symbols of the Taiji of the Bagua. In fact yin yang balance is a favorite principle Ji Gong referred to and he would often meditate on yin yang conflicts by watching pair of crickets confronting each other.

Yin yang principles played a great part in his healing of those who are sick and in solving problems of those who need his help. But his main approach is simplicity and goodness from the heart.

To many followers in Taiwan, he is the God of Wealth. He bestows merits and fortune where he can and should. He will always do so wholeheartedly. Seek and ye shall find that he has the heart for us but we must ever have place for him in our hearts. We must try to be more good, otherwise how can he do more good for us?

We must have goodness in our hearts and let him be seated in the heart of each of our individual life. Do let Ji Gong be in our hearts. Omitofo.

Amitabha warms up life

No 432 of Living Life Series 1

Amitabha is the light to life
He provides warmth and care
more so in winter of life
to all who call out to him
regardless of religion
Give with love and care
This must go on and on,
even beyond Christmas.
Santa is all for this and more,
more so in winter for sure

On Christmas day, a saint was born to brighten the lives of men in the harsh winter and lives of men in those days of old.

Jesus was born in a manger with the star of Bethlehem to mark the event. All saints of God did rejoice that he was born as he is till this day a saint among saints ... and no doubt a son or saint of God for sure.

All saints are one and one is in all saints. One for all and all for one. Saints work as one and one saint works in oneness with all saints.

This is in keeping with the spirit of love of God and saints in all seasons, more so in winter. Cheers and season's greetings to all men.

Have a  joyful and meaningful Christmas. Peace on earth as in Heaven.  Joy to the world. Joy to you and me.

Amitabha fires up the love and warmth of life more so in the cold winter of life. May Omitofo be with one and all. Namo Omitofo. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Lord Bo Tien taught this prayer.

To all heavenly saints we greatly adore. We believe in your existence and thy glory is in the thought of men. We seek for thy protection and guidance so as to live better for the times to come.

Amitabha Buddha we seek for thy guidance.
Amitabha Buddha we seek for thy guidance.
Amitabha Buddha we seek for thy guidance.

Amitabha surveys the world with his love
and with no strings attached and
no need to kowtow to or worship him,
all who call out his name will be served
That is Amitabha Buddha of Infinite Light
Who radiates warmth more so
in harsh cold and winter of life

AMITABHA BUDDHA

Many who pray to Amitabha also celebrate Christmas. Thus the message by Lord Bo Tien to believe in all heavenly saints and their teachings is in keeping with established practices which to Lord Bo Tien must be further encouraged.

Amitabha blesses all whatever their religion or sect may be so long as they call out his name. Namo Omitofo.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Let everyday be Christmas - a day to celebrate the goodness of a saint like Christ. Everyday too is the beginning of more days and more new years to come.

We do not have to wait for the season to be merry and to have joy and peace with saints like Amitabha to warm up life, more so when we face the harsh cold of life, be it in winter or otherwise. He provides us with the fireplace to keep us warm amid the coldness of life around. Namo Amitabha always and ever more.
