No 1219 of Living Life Series 1
We need to live life our own way and yet this way still requires us to learn from others on how they live. We learn from others but we do not live the way they do.
We have to have life of our own in our own style and that meets our needs and expectations. So likewise, don't try to sell to others how they should live life and expect them to duplicate what we do.
That is the same problem that happens with religion. We want others to be like us and near to us in thinking but they cannot be what we are.
That is why in a sense they are far though we want them to be near to us in outlook and thinking. It matters not if they are of same religion and near to us but they will never think the way we do.
That is also why there are different religions and within any religion there are different schools and sects though there is one agreed universal purpose. This is to be one with God and saints which is to be good in pureness of spirit and have inner peace.
We can be different like the sun and the moon but this does not mean we are opposites and have no oneness of purpose. We are far from one another in the way we start off and in the way we live and believe. But whatever be the case, we are still near to one another in need to like God and saints and be like God and saints.
Saints are not one but many. They seem different and far from one another but all are saints. They are different but yet one - appear far but are near to one another.
They bring goodness and godliness to men. There is one God but many saints. Men too are different but still man. This is the truth behind life and religions.
The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 hopes we can always realise this and fall back to this. Then we will appreciate fellow men and beings.
We will not tell them what to do. We appreciate that all are different and yet are one and will be one at core. We are like members of the same family. Family members are different but yet one in family.
This has to be our great realization. Be different and yet one. Be near though far.
Men are not monkeys. Monkeys see and monkeys do. Monkeys ape one another. Men even of the same pack will never do this.
Men won't ape. They have minds of their own and that is good though at times bewildering.
That is however why men can be amazingly different though one. But they may not realise they are one.
There is need for the great realisation of oneness despite being different and often at odds with one another. That is the lot of men. Oh well, men can be too clever and is this good?
