THERE IS NEED TO BE IMBUED WITH THE BASIC DOCTRINE COMMON TO AND BEHIND ALL RELIGIONS AND SECTS. LIVE IN DOCTRINE. DOCTRINE IN LIFE IS PARAMOUNT.

The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Be good and not leave this to God

No 1221 of Living Life Series 1

In bringing up a child, do parents tell the child to learn from them step by step. A child must learn many things from birth. They must learn to be right. They keep doing wrong but they can learn,

The same applies to God and men. God knows we have done many things not right and we will continue to be wrong in many things in life. Will God want us to learn? Yes, indeed God will need us to learn and through his saints, he will guide and help us

But some say this is a waste of time. We will ever be wrong and there are too many things to learn. Might as well we don't learn.

Leave it to God and his saints. The saints will learn for us and we will not need to learn. God and saints they say will not require us to learn as we will never learn fast enough.

God and saints will learn for us and we leave to God and saints to do the learning. It is easier that way and it is the only way. Do we buy that?

We should in a way as this is the gift of God and it is out of his love. But this is only the enticement to boost our morale and to attract us to learn.

The enticement is to believe and have hope. It does not change reality that we need to learn and never must we believe that God and saints can learn and do all the good for us. We don't need to learn and be good. Without God and saints, we will never be able to be good. They will be good on our behalf. This is a misconception.

As the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that in any religion, with God and saints blessings issues will be no issues. Even if big issues cannot be no issue, at least they will be small issues.

God and saints will not live our lives. They can only guide us and help us to learn to be good and make life better. They cannot manage problems for us and be good on our behalf.

They will make our lives easier. But we are the ones who have to learn and to live as men. God and saints cannot live for us and learn for us. How can God and saints do good so that we will not be bad? Then where is the learning and how to be good when we are not the doers of good?

Don't depend on God and saints to be good so that we be not bad. We have to learn to be good and not be bad. Isn't this the truth?

Not even God and saints can learn and be good on our behalf. We have to learn to be good ourselves. We must be the doers.

Only when we are children and starting out can we think our parents can do so for us. In like manner, when we are new to God and saints, we would want to think they can learn to be good on our behalf. They can be the doers and we need not be doers.

That is childhood fantasy and indeed this can be so as we are children of God and saints. But we must wake up to the reality we need to learn to be good and not depend on God and saints to do good for us. God and saints can be good to us but not do good for us. We need to be doers.

By ourselves is wrong done. By ourselves can we do good. No one can do so for us. Satan cannot be blamed for our wrong. Our good cannot come from God though God can be the motivator.

We have to be good and learn to be good. God and saints can guide and bless us. But we have to be the doers and not God and saints.

Though we may be doers of good, we must not be conceited and proud and want to take credit. We should be a wee bit like God and saints ever humble and never taking credit.

We should be silent like God and be more effective and at peace. We will add to the peace by silencing our pride and ego. Like God though far from being God, we will be loud and effective in our silence. Learn to be good but silent in our good.

There is never the need for us to claim credit for our good done just like God. No need either to pass our good done to God's credit.

God is not like that and has no need to claim credit and be credited for his goodness and for the goodness of all beings to be credited to him.

God has no ego needs and certainly far from being egomaniac. Please do not make God out to be one.

That would be belittling God. If he is an egomaniac, God would want us to believe that we do not need to do good. He God will do good on our behalf. God is not like that. If he is he is no God.

Be good and not leave this to God. Don't have the dependency or crutch mentality. We have to live our own lives. God cannot do so for us. That is why we have freewill. We are what we do - good or bad.

Lest you forget

Do not make the mistake of idolizing any man who tells you about the Word. He is in the same boat as you even if religion refers to him as a religious leader. Mere mention of a religious leader is as good as encouraging idolising of that man. Why must there be hierarchy in religion? Hierarchy is conventional but may end up as liability rather than a necessity or asset. There should be no caste or hierarchy system in religion. No one is to be considered above another in religion. A religious leader or follower is a servant to serve you and not a leader to be idolised. Do not put him on the pedestal and make a monster out of him.

MAY ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY

May all be well and happy. May they have peace. May our departed friends and kins be well, happy and have divine peace. The main writer wishes the best for all for those near and far. Our kins may be far when they had passed on to better lives but they are near though far. He remembers and wishes his parents Mr Siow Soo Koh and Mdm Tay Hung Siang, his uncles and aunties like Mr Tay Koon Huay, his cousins like Mr Tay Chong Sim and his friends like Mr Philip Png well and have abundance of life. May they be rich in spirit for without such ancestors, there will be no posterity - no us and no you and me. They have blessed us and we must blessed them in return forever and ever.
