THE PURPOSE IS TO SAVE SOULS. IT IS WAY BEYOND NORMAL GOOD WORK LIKE CHARITY AND WELFARE ACTIVITIES. NO ONE SHALL BE SAVED BY GOOD WORKS ALONE BUT BY MORE THAN GOOD WORK. THERE IS NEED TO BE IMBUED WITH THE BASIC DOCTRINE COMMON TO AND BEHIND ALL RELIGIONS AND SECTS. LIVE IN DOCTRINE. DOCTRINE IN LIFE IS PARAMOUNT.

The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Love nothing to do with hatred

No 1228 of Living Life Series 1

Can God who has given free will take away the free will or interfere with our free will? That is illogical isn't it?

But when have men passionate with religion been logical when they can condemn and hate in the name of God. Worse still. they can even cross swords and come to blows in his holy name.

Men were even told to disown their parents and spouses in the name of religion. Isn't this unbecoming?

If God gives free will and this results in freedom of choice of beliefs and practices, who are we to decide that others have erred? Surely we are no better than God. We are no God.

Perhaps some think they are better than God and messiah sent but if they have wisdom and presence of mind, they would go along with God.

Let there be free will and give plenty of space for difference and dissent. The near to God who think they can chastise others are far. Isn't this so?

The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 reminds us of this and that men will ever be different. He said that the problems of men are many and plentiful.

No way of having one religion for all. No way of having only one view of God. There is free will and thus there will be many religions in the same God but to many, they think that God is different in different religion.

All believe in one God and sadly some may think God in other religions is not the God in their religion. Perhaps this is free will in effect.

But men must learn to be wise and insightful. Men must think and have logical thinking - common sense. We only need to have more of common sense in life or in religion.

Often, this is simply lacking and that is why the problems of men are many and plentiful. But this is also exactly why life of man is challenging.

Life is fertile ground for learning. We must learn that we must not just follow and ape but we must ever think and decide. We must realise that love has nothing to do with hatred. Love cannot arise out of hatred. That would be shallow.

Hatred for Satan must not be the reason to love God. Love must not give rise to hatred. Love of God must not lead us to hate others who do not love God the way we do. This includes the hatred for Satan.

That is why there is confusion. Some think that a house of God intent for peace and harmony is wayward and playing into the hands of the devil. It is the proof of Satan taking over the house of God.

Likewise a house of Satan intent to harm others is deemed a house of God. They say others have angered God just because others do not do and think what they do and think.

They expect God to be firm and harsh when he is loving and even bestows free will. They expect God to hate the way we do. They want God to be like Satan and full of ego and hatred to those who step on his toes.

Perhaps they will mistake Satan as God. But the problem lies in men and not God and Satan. Have we maligned God and Satan?

What is the use of finger pointing when free will is from God and God's special gift to men. Love means men must respect free will. Men should not end up with hatred for those who differ out of free will which is God-given.

Free will is of God and saints. Free will is goodwill. The blessing of free will is God's goodwill to all. It is out of his unconditional love to men and all here, below and above.

Lest you forget

Do not make the mistake of idolizing any man who tells you about the Word. He is in the same boat as you even if religion refers to him as a religious leader. Mere mention of a religious leader is as good as encouraging idolising of that man. Why must there be hierarchy in religion? Hierarchy is conventional but may end up as liability rather than a necessity or asset. There should be no caste or hierarchy system in religion. No one is to be considered above another in religion. A religious leader or follower is a servant to serve you and not a leader to be idolised. Do not put him on the pedestal and make a monster out of him.

MAY ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY

May all be well and happy. May they have peace. May our departed friends and kins be well, happy and have divine peace. The main writer wishes the best for all for those near and far. Our kins may be far when they had passed on to better lives but they are near though far. He remembers and wishes his parents Mr Siow Soo Koh and Mdm Tay Hung Siang, his uncles and aunties like Mr Tay Koon Huay, his cousins like Mr Tay Chong Sim and his friends like Mr Philip Png well and have abundance of life. May they be rich in spirit for without such ancestors, there will be no posterity - no us and no you and me. They have blessed us and we must blessed them in return forever and ever.
