THE PURPOSE IS TO SAVE SOULS. IT IS WAY BEYOND NORMAL GOOD WORK LIKE CHARITY AND WELFARE ACTIVITIES. NO ONE SHALL BE SAVED BY GOOD WORKS ALONE BUT BY MORE THAN GOOD WORK. THERE IS NEED TO BE IMBUED WITH THE BASIC DOCTRINE COMMON TO AND BEHIND ALL RELIGIONS AND SECTS. LIVE IN DOCTRINE. DOCTRINE IN LIFE IS PARAMOUNT.

The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Buddhas are with us but we don't even know

No 737 of Living Life Series 1

Let us stand up and not be cowed into thinking that the only peace and paradise we can hope for is only in the afterlife. Go for the peace and heaven that we can have in this life and in the here and now. If we can taste that peace and paradise, certainly this is the paradise which will extend into the future and into the afterlife.

This peace must have certain obvious features.

There must be the coming to terms with what we have here and now. There must be the ability to make good whatever little more than what we have for now. There must be contentment.

There must be health but not the craziness to have more of health. Even with ill-health, there must be the acceptance and the ability to make good whatever health that can be sustained.

Then, there must be kinship and feeling of security and comfort. We tend to look for this in our next of kin or in close friends but if self confidence is not there, how good kinship we may have will soon prove not enough.

There must be the cultivation of self confidence more than the reliance on others be they God and saints or others. Thus a peaceful and happy men always rub on the peace and happiness onto others and that way this augments the peace and joy back to themselves.

Also God and saints seem to be more with those who seem blessed and happy. Perhaps this reflects the truth of the saying, "God helps those who help themselves."

Finally, it is true that those who have seen the light, the true nature of life will be able to see through life and be free from the chains and hassles of life. They have the enlightened approach and is on the path to more peace and joy.

Taste the feel of heaven or peace here and now and not wait till kingdom come. Don't wait till kingdom come for joy and peace.

This explains the message by the good lord Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) on the need for inner peace in life. Such inner peace can be realized and cultivated through the basic teachings of all religions and sects.

The ramifications of the basics are there to attract and to reach out but really what we need is just the basic realization to want the peace and to cultivate the peace here and now.

Men often look up to the God or Buddha up there but fail to know that God or Buddha is with us, behind us and we live yearning for peace and joy with God and Buddha in afterlife when God or Buddha is already with us and in us.

Don't wait till kingdom come for joy and peace of God and Buddha essence when joy and peace is already with us for us to realize.

No wonder there is a Chinese saying for the faithful and devout that "Buddha is with us but we don't even know"

May all communicate with the Buddha that is with them, more so the faithful and devout in spirit. Buddha is behind them all the time and it is time for them to touch base with the Buddha - more in depth and in scope as well. The Buddha is close at hand and waiting.

All that is needed is for us to purify ourselves and have more peace to have the ability to communicate with him and be one with him to have even more peace. He is with us and keen to talk to us in some way and this depends on how peaceful and pure we can be.

Gautama Buddha through final enlightenment has achieved this capacity to be with one and all who are faithful and devout. So also have the other saints and the celestial Buddhas. Cheers.

Lest you forget

Do not make the mistake of idolizing any man who tells you about the Word. He is in the same boat as you even if religion refers to him as a religious leader. Mere mention of a religious leader is as good as encouraging idolising of that man. Why must there be hierarchy in religion? Hierarchy is conventional but may end up as liability rather than a necessity or asset. There should be no caste or hierarchy system in religion. No one is to be considered above another in religion. A religious leader or follower is a servant to serve you and not a leader to be idolised. Do not put him on the pedestal and make a monster out of him.

MAY ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY

May all be well and happy. May they have peace. May our departed friends and kins be well, happy and have divine peace. The main writer wishes the best for all for those near and far. Our kins may be far when they had passed on to better lives but they are near though far. He remembers and wishes his parents Mr Siow Soo Koh and Mdm Tay Hung Siang, his uncles and aunties like Mr Tay Koon Huay, his cousins like Mr Tay Chong Sim and his friends like Mr Philip Png well and have abundance of life. May they be rich in spirit for without such ancestors, there will be no posterity - no us and no you and me. They have blessed us and we must blessed them in return forever and ever.
