The yin yang bells of Christmas tells us a story of life. They may be alike but yet different. Each on its own cannot produce the ringing of bells that adds wonder to the spirit of Christmas. Life is just like that.
One hand cannot clap and we need both hands to clap. We need both hands too to clasp when in prayer. We need husband and wife to make a couple. If there is harmony, there will be peace and joy like the bells of Christmas above. Life will then roll on in unison as one whole to bring us more of joy and peace.
Let the spirit of Christmas be there 365 days a year to bring warmth to life day on day.
This is more so if there is always the spirit of giving and receiving. Santa will lead us in the love of life the world over - the gift of life, love, peace and joy even in the midst of any winter of life.
Let there be the duality of giving and receiving. This too is yin yang at work in life. This was and is stressed by Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) who in his concluding messages in the first 13 years of mission emphasized on yin and yang as well as the love of life.
Giving and receiving in kind or whatever is still loving kindness in action and warms up the life of all, more so those in the grips of the harsh winter of life.

Thus it is not surprising that Christmas celebration has been an important annual event even at Bo Tien Temple in Singapore as Christmas embodies the spirit of love, help, giving and receiving - all of which the good lord Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) would like all to eschew.
