With often one sided views of God (玉皇上帝) by men due to their religious affiliation, it is difficult for men to portray God and heavenly saints without bias. Many will say, "Your God is not my God and please don't confuse your God with my God."
This may indeed be one way of putting things. But with this, this may cast a shadow on all the professed good dialogues on religions. Members of a religion may live in their own world as though their religion is the one for all. That is their choice and good in some sense.
through religions to all men. If conflicts occur in religions and cause woes with breach of peace, they are man-made. |
But how can there be more harmony or at least detente when we do not allow members of one religion to understand and learn more from other religions on none other than God Almighty - the ruler of the three worlds of Heaven, Earth and Hell.
Yet many are God worthy as they are God fearing and loving but in their love for and in the name of God, they are not positive of the worship of God by those of other religions. Such odd mentality will just add on to the worldly issues for men. There will be conflicts in the name of God.
The odd part is that all parties are talking about God but they may all say in their respective ways, "Your God is not my God and my God is the God." How could this have happened? How odd can this be? Certainly, some men can be wee bit tinge of ungodly with regards to God. But all men are not God and they are men. Surely men are not perfect.
Men may end up morphing into shadows of devils of sorts when they try to oversell their faith and love in God because they hold their view of God as exclusive and adopt imposing approach towards others. Instead of promoting universal love, they end up stirring up conflicts, all because of their undying love for God.
The truth of all is that "your God is my God and my God is your God. So why the need for problems among men with regards to God. There is lack of common sense when love for God is blind and not rooted in Doctrine. This common sense is not enough after all. Men in love with God can do strange things as with all men in love.
Men in love with God is blinded by love. Love can be blind and can drive them to excess and do what they normally would not do. They can say unkind things to those who do not love God in the same way as they do. Won't that upset God?
We should feel sorry for them and empathise with them. They know not what they do, even though they do know and that is the issue. They are supposed to be near but may be instead far from God. The near may be far and the far near. This the good lord Lord Bo Tien did say.
The same one God is referred to in religions but is often portrayed as different and this is due to men and not God - not the reality. Thus the good lord Lord Bo Tien laments that for men to get to the basic truth, men must dig away at the archaeological layers to arrive at the basic or bare truth - the Inner Truth.
Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 |
This brethren regardless of your religions or even if you have none is the good lord's first message in 1969 - "The God Knowledge". He is not here to start any new religion or sect but to show that all are one in truth and in God.
This same God is there in Chinese culture and in any Chinese traditional temple, like the very few temples in his name. By the way, he is not here to start any more new temples, for the mission is to show that existing religions, sects and houses of worship will do.
His few temples need not be there as the universal temple is the world with the sky or Heaven as the roof and religions the pillars. All under Heaven are in the temple. Do you get it? Worry not if you don't and just know the Word or Doctrine and be at peace.
The Word is God and God is one for all. The common denominator of religions is the basic or inner truth that there is God or Divinity and the pursuit of inner peace across all religions. Based on this, all the other teachings unique to the various religions do fall in place.
May the awareness of this inner truth emphasized by Lord Bo Tien reinforce and strengthen the existing brotherhood of religions and of mankind. God (玉皇上帝) is ever one for all and all are one in God (玉皇上帝).
