Dua Di Ya Pek (大二爷伯)
They were originally mere guards of Chinese court.
They died so that men do not have to die
from opium in the Opium war era in old China,
otherwise they would be forced by imperial authority
to enslave men into addiction and sure death.
One hung himself and died
pale and white with tongue protruding.
The other followed by drowning
and had blackened complexion.
Their images tell the story of their love for men
and what they had to undergo to save men.
They continue to this day to save men
in their own unique and down to earth ways.
But they had to be in Hell as hell guards to do so.
But God knows that they are too good to be in Hell
though they had to be there for taking their own lives.
They would rather do so and be in Hell
than take away the lives of the multitudes.
Dua Di Ya Pek (大二爷伯)
on coffin seats which cannot contain them.
Judge them not by appearance.
They died horribly but have hearts of gold.
They were resurrected by God as saints
Their appearance testifies to their sacrifices as men.
Their appearance makes them no less saints of God.
They died so that men may live better
when God made them saints to be among men.
They are messiahs to the lives they touched.
Their images though awful to others
are awesome to those who know them.
They do spell out their sacrifices
and their loving kindness for men.
There is doctrine in the images,
just like what Lord Bo Tien said.
The image embodies doctrine.
The doctrine is in the image of any saint,
just like the doctrine behind the crucifix
which is awesome to believers
but not so to ignorant others.
