No 657 of Living Life Series 1
Religion is supposed to bring out more of the love and peace in life for men but today in 2014 and beyond, religion can be an explosive experience in more ways than one.
Those who embrace a new religion may at times do so as though they have a very emotional run-up to new religion and a rundown from the previous religion.
The fault lies not in either religion but in the mentality of some men - the pack-like mentality that brings out the intuitive nature rather than the human nature, least of all the god-like nature of man.
There will be howls of new found joy and relief that so mark and characterize the meteoric uplift of the spirit and that is good for those who are embraced by the new religion and who embrace that religion.
But let not such experience shake the very ground of stability, love and peace in religion, across and between religions. Then in such adverse but rare eventuality, there will be less of peace and more of unease.
Religious experience is personal and what works for one may not do so for another. Beauty of religion is in the eyes of the beholder. It is just that one religion may better fit our taste than another. There is really no need to be noisy in our partaking of religion. Be not loud and explosive about it. If need to, do so in privacy, in peace and in context.
Let it be known and there will be and have to be that much more empathy, understanding and peace under Heaven. Then there will be more of the peace on Earth as in Heaven.
It is certainly good to let the world know of that special good that one has in a religion but is there the need to be explosive about it beyond the few private moments?
That is a matter of opinion. There will always be two sides to the coin. But let us not disturb the peace and bring out the unease through explosive ways.
All religions are one in God and in basic inner truth / doctrine. This the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 proclaims. There is no big deal in changing religion or staying on in a religion. What matters is the grasp of the basic truth in whatever religion we may be in or want to be.
Do be ever peaceful in religious experience and not be loud and explosive. Be discreet and be peaceful in every way. Spirituality is all about peace and peace matters. God bless.
