Lord Bo Tien did say
the obvious in life
that is true to life
but we often take for granted
and sometimes even put aside.
When the sunset
people must rest
and when the sunrise
people must work.
Some however will
in life today somehow
have the other way round.
That is how some men will do.
There remains the duality
that is yin and yang
even if men do ignore
Thus for the young
in sunrise must to school go
the adults must work
and the ladies of the house
to the market they go.
Monks too in morning
alms begging they go
Then at night
with sunset comes rest
and all the rest.
But those who know not
what is rest will digress
to the night spots and clubs
they go like no night at all.
Students will to tuition go
and what ever else
that makes night no night at all.
They make night like day as well.
Then where is the line?
But there must be time to shine
and time to rest and dine
at home to prepare the nest to rest
This is the cyclical yin yang
all must have to be whole
and to be complete life
for every day of life.
If there be balance
there will be semblance
of the peace of saints
that come from
the art of yin yang parlance
not just in words
but in action and in life.
There is yin yang
for the monks and spiritual
There too is the same
for you, me and all.
Living life correctly
is the same principle
of yin yang harmony
for both monks and laity.
Alas all must have this
in daily life with day and night.
So said the goof lord
Lord Bo Tien
in his concluding message
touching on life.
This yin yang balance did he say
is common to and behind
all religions of the time
though some may not
use yin yang parlance
and put in on other form.
In his image you could see
his feet astride
and atop of the two
securing yin and yang
all the same
so more peace in life
we can gain and attain
in spiritual or in mundane.
It ever will be the same
if we want to be sane
even if not be saint.
