No 1034 of Living Life Series 1
To many, it is far better to believe and /or to do good to be in heaven even if this is not for eternity as expected and promised by men of religions. Thus religions to be popular must cater to this need.
It is even better still to believe in a saint and be saved by his grace to be in heaven. No need to really go all out to do good at all. This is the way saints help beings.
Hopefully they end up in heaven to undergo reformative training. When they are ready, they have to come down to put into practice what they learnt. If they waste their time in bliss up there, then they still have to come down, they have to face the consequences of their inaction.
Well, this is not the end-all we refer to as sainthood but this is faster and more appealing than to try to go for sainthood. Thus the catchword is to be saved by grace of a heavenly saint. For many, it is better to go heaven than work for sainthood. This is the route for the many and definitely not sainthood.
They may be far from ideal but they are near to God and saints. The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says the far from ideal are near to God and saints. Those who think they prefer sainthood if they just talk and take no action at all, they are far though seemingly near.
Thus the good lord says that far can be near and near far. It may be better to go for what is reachable than to go for the sky and be awed and fazed. Don't look down on the choice of going to heaven.
Many will be bewildered and floored by the path to sainthood. But many fail to realize a little at a time will add up. Achieve a little bit at a time and when we arrive matters not. What spiritual peace we can achieve this moment counts. Be inspired that way.
Then we are poised for two outcomes in the afterlife - heaven in afterlife or be on target to sainthood. To put it bluntly though incorrect, religion is more for those who want heaven in afterlife.
Why not be prepared for both? It is not being greedy but being down to earth. Heaven may not be as wholesome as sainthood but half a loaf is better than none. One fine day we can have the whole loaf. Shouldn't we have the best of both worlds for now? If so, go for both, won't you?
As to which religion or sect, any will do. Some are more focused on heaven and some more focus on sainthood. The choice is yours.
Remember though that in the more organised religion, they will tell you to just believed and be saved by grace. But having accepted the religion, they will tell you surely and firmly that you have to be good enough.
Then the cat is out of the bag. You do have to work your way to be like a saint. They want you somehow to be that more deserving than just be in heaven. That is it.
Heaven is no problem. It is for your asking. Sainthood is another matter. You have to work for it. It is hard work and cannot be delivered on a platter. How else can you be a saint?
Heaven is a gift of God and saints. It is the gift to show love of God and saints and to provide impetus for growth to sainthood.
