The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

More of life from managing yin and yang

No 708 of Living Life Series 1

Where there is Heaven, there must be Hell. Without one, there will not be the other. Life will not be complete and will not revolve with only one or the other. We need bitterness and sweetness often at times even in the same breath.
Where there is good, there must be the bad. We won't know what is good if we don't experience the bad. There is often the bitter sweet experience in life.

Where there is yin, there must be yang. Where there is fire, there must be water. No life as we know it is possible if there is only fire or water.

There is the passive and the active in every aspect and experience in life. Without one, there will not be the other.

But are we to be troubled because we cannot avoid one or the other? We must somehow live with both. Can't we be whole and at peace by living in the midst of both?

What we need is not just to do good, or to avoid evil but to be atop both by purifying the mind - not to purge it of yin and yang which is impossible but to still the mind by coming to terms with them and be at peace and pure come what may.

We must be at peace with what we have, with what we need to have and with what we should not have but still have. We must both steel the mind as well as still it, if we ever want a mind pure and free from the crutches of yin and yang and yet with yin and yang.

The way out is to be mindful and mindfulness must go hand in hand with wanting to be at peace but not upset if we are not at peace as yet for that would add to the lack of peace.

Wow or woe is due to interplay of yin and yang. How we manage the yin and yang determines the outcome. Life is about yin and yang. Come to terms with them and be at peace.

The next time, you feel good, don't be elated but keep the peace. The next time, you feel bad, don't be down but stay level headed to keep the peace.

We can have more of life by managing yin and yang. Do we need a religion for this? It would be good but not a necessity though we need to seek the shelter and guidance of God and saints so that issues big and small will be no issues.

At least any issue will be less of an issue even if they cannot be no issue. Didn't God and saints like Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) say so?

There is the duality of good and bad
even in the men in the temple of a lord saint.
More can be gained by managing
the good and bad, the yin and the yang,
but not by getting rid of men deemed bad.
God and saints do not do so
but instead accommodate them

as even the good has bad
and that is why God is for all
and more of life the temple will have.
The man at the helm may be good
but yet bad and not saint of a man.
This is to be and always will.

After all in some ways, the good lord says
that ants do come to a flower for nectar.
Blame not the flower.
But most importantly,
do not take matters into own hands
and act for God when God
won't even lift his hand
to hurt an ant...?
