THE PURPOSE IS TO SAVE SOULS. IT IS WAY BEYOND NORMAL GOOD WORK LIKE CHARITY AND WELFARE ACTIVITIES. NO ONE SHALL BE SAVED BY GOOD WORKS ALONE BUT BY MORE THAN GOOD WORK. THERE IS NEED TO BE IMBUED WITH THE BASIC DOCTRINE COMMON TO AND BEHIND ALL RELIGIONS AND SECTS. LIVE IN DOCTRINE. DOCTRINE IN LIFE IS PARAMOUNT.

The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Go for Living Life and not be dead to life

No 696 of Living Life Series 1

Are we just leading a dead life? Are we dead to the world just by being religious and thinking of death and the afterlife? We are if we have the wrong outlook on life.

In life, we are somehow more likely to be influenced by the hell mongers who say that if we do not believe and accept, we will have to believe our eyes in the afterlife. This makes us live for the afterlife and we live as though we are dead to the life here and now even though very much alive.

Such orientation and preoccupation with better life in the afterlife than we have now demeans the value of life here and now. It vilifies the beauty of life that actually affords so much richness in learning.

There are the contrasts or polarities - the worldly contingencies like birth death, sorrow happiness, praise blame, honor dishonor and what have you. These are the manifestations of the richness of yin and yang that we must be aware of and can learn to manage and if we can do so even a little, we are on the way to sainthood even here and now in this life.

We do not wait till in afterlife that is yet to be. Why wait? Why not cultivate sainthood here and now and have the guidance of the heavenly saints.

That way we are alive to life and we have the Living Life. We are then on the path to liberation from the woes of life due to the forces of yin and yang. We are in control and not under control, be it by yin and yang, by fate or by some men who speak like prophets of doom and gloom and the list can go on and on.

God and saints never want us to live in doom and gloom and wait for the after life. They do ever want us to make it even in this life. Blessings do not come only in afterlife but in this life by living life.

We must be well grounded in understanding of yin and yang as elaborated by Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) in the last few messages of his ministry in the first phase of the mission.

In conclusion and to put things simply, we can say that when life gets tough, the tough gets going here and now. They handle life as it comes. They do not shun life and shirk issues. They will not wait for the afterlife and do little or nothing for now. They do not resign themselves to fate and accept that this is merely the will of Heaven though there is the element of fate. They do not just push things to Heaven.

They do what they can and move on, happy with what they can have and at peace with what they cannot have for the present. The present well lived is a present indeed. The past is history and the future can still be a mystery but less so if we handle the present as best as we can. Live the life and not be dead to live. Have the Living Life.

There are certainly some handouts by Heaven but we cannot live by bread and handouts alone. We have to live life. We do not live on charity but we can on top of living life, additionally be charitable to ourselves and to others.

We must live life and be able to stand up and be counted with God and saints by endeavoring living life of saints even before we arrive at sainthood. We go for semblance of sainthood even in this life and not leave this to the next life.

But ultimately we must also not be carried away. We must not try too hard and we are still very much human. We should never end up lost and misunderstood... There will be those who think we have gone bonkers, in other words gone to the dogs.

Lest you forget

Do not make the mistake of idolizing any man who tells you about the Word. He is in the same boat as you even if religion refers to him as a religious leader. Mere mention of a religious leader is as good as encouraging idolising of that man. Why must there be hierarchy in religion? Hierarchy is conventional but may end up as liability rather than a necessity or asset. There should be no caste or hierarchy system in religion. No one is to be considered above another in religion. A religious leader or follower is a servant to serve you and not a leader to be idolised. Do not put him on the pedestal and make a monster out of him.

MAY ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY

May all be well and happy. May they have peace. May our departed friends and kins be well, happy and have divine peace. The main writer wishes the best for all for those near and far. Our kins may be far when they had passed on to better lives but they are near though far. He remembers and wishes his parents Mr Siow Soo Koh and Mdm Tay Hung Siang, his uncles and aunties like Mr Tay Koon Huay, his cousins like Mr Tay Chong Sim and his friends like Mr Philip Png well and have abundance of life. May they be rich in spirit for without such ancestors, there will be no posterity - no us and no you and me. They have blessed us and we must blessed them in return forever and ever.
