No 1110 of Living Life Series 1
Often we cannot face reality and cannot accept that the worldly good we have will not last long because of change of circumstances.
Sometimes, it is the ill-health or misfortune we have in a member of the family or in our life. We want to wish problems away and think that we can have no problems just by wishful thinking
But without fail, there will be problems in life that we have to contend with. We have to learn from problems. Life is like that.
This is reiterated by the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨. The problems of life are many and plentiful.
Men may turn to God and saints so that problems may be no problems. Problems even if big will at least end up as small problems. But there is always the element of fate which we have to contend with.
People turn to religion and religion sometimes go overboard and it is some men of religion who promise that there will be no problems whatsoever if we embrace God and saints.
But they forget that it is problems in life that make life a learning process. If we just pass our problems wholesale to God and saints, then where is the learning?
Some may say that there is only one learning for all men. It is that men must learn that God and saints love us and only way to wish problems away is to embrace the love of God and saints. Their love will take over our problems. They will take over our pain.
To them the only learning is to love God and saints and that alone is good enough. God and saints will take over our problems.
But problems of men are there for men to learn and be better off from the learning. God and saints will be there to help us but not to take over our problems and suffering. God and saints are there to help us in life but not take over our lives.
But to many that is not acceptable and they want God and saints to take over the problems of life. To them, that is no wishful thinking but what God and saints are for.
But like it or not, without wishful thinking, many will stay away from religion. Wishful thinking is why many take up a religion and some even with fervor. It is but a means to an end but not the end in itself.
Without managing wishful thinking, religions will be remote to many. What is wrong may well be right to begin with and what is right may not be right to begin with.
No wonder the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that the near may be far and the far near. This applies to wishful thinking. There is a place for this in religion.
