THE PURPOSE IS TO SAVE SOULS. IT IS WAY BEYOND NORMAL GOOD WORK LIKE CHARITY AND WELFARE ACTIVITIES. NO ONE SHALL BE SAVED BY GOOD WORKS ALONE BUT BY MORE THAN GOOD WORK. THERE IS NEED TO BE IMBUED WITH THE BASIC DOCTRINE COMMON TO AND BEHIND ALL RELIGIONS AND SECTS. LIVE IN DOCTRINE. DOCTRINE IN LIFE IS PARAMOUNT.

The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Romancing with God and saints

No 1105 of Living Life Series 1

It is nice to love and to be in love. But the initial romance of love will not last and reality and even familiarity will set in. Then comes boredom for some, problems and the seven year itch.

Obligations often make many to stay on and hang on. Without obligations, there is no bonds to maintain allegiance.

This happens too in our relationship with God and saints. Often we are the ones to speak more and we believe God and saints are listening to what we say. God and saints are the silent ones.

We see them not though we may feel and even love them. They seem to be around but keep us at arms length in case we go overboard.

Love is alright but romance is out of place. How can we romance with God and saints?

But many want to keep the fire and passion of romance with God stay on and on. They may lose their heads and create distaste. God and saints will not keep up the guise of romance. So there will be misperceived romance - perhaps at best one sided.

Loving God and saints will do but love for God and saints means love for all life. It does not mean not loving or loving less the others who are not God and your saints. There is no partiality but impartiality.

When love is confined, passion may arise. Passion in love good in a way for husbands and wives but not men and God and saints.

If we try to be passionate with God and saints, we end up romancing with God and saints. That will be odd.

But the devil in men wants men to go on romancing with God and saints and when this dries up, they get bored and switch to a new religion or denomination because what they want is the high of romance.

They may even call this to be reborn in God and saints. They want to be over the moon and get the kicks out of romance with God and saints. They even get possessive and it is odd that they dislike others from loving God and saints.

They want God to themselves. They think their way is the one and only way. Their God is the God. This is because they are so absorbed in romance with God.

How can there be peace if there is romance and men are never at peace though excited with the thrills of romance? Well, well what then must men do?

Be at peace. If we love God, we must love the Word God stands for and if we love the Word, we live in the Word. We never romance the Word and talk at length about it. We should just live in the Word.

The Word is God and God is the Word. The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 sums this up thus, "My image is the Word. The Word is my image."

Like God, he is the Word and the Word is him. If we are level headed and have the peace, we will get his message. If not, we will not get at what the lord is referring to.

Love God and saints. Love the Word. Live in the Word. Don't be crazy and romance with God and saints. By doing so, we have peace of God and saints.

No need to romance with God and saints to be near to them. We end up far instead. Didn't the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 say that those who think they are near may be far?

The seemingly far may be near. Those who do not romance with God and saints may be regarded by many to be far but if they live in the Word, they though far are near.

Lest you forget

Do not make the mistake of idolizing any man who tells you about the Word. He is in the same boat as you even if religion refers to him as a religious leader. Mere mention of a religious leader is as good as encouraging idolising of that man. Why must there be hierarchy in religion? Hierarchy is conventional but may end up as liability rather than a necessity or asset. There should be no caste or hierarchy system in religion. No one is to be considered above another in religion. A religious leader or follower is a servant to serve you and not a leader to be idolised. Do not put him on the pedestal and make a monster out of him.

MAY ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY

May all be well and happy. May they have peace. May our departed friends and kins be well, happy and have divine peace. The main writer wishes the best for all for those near and far. Our kins may be far when they had passed on to better lives but they are near though far. He remembers and wishes his parents Mr Siow Soo Koh and Mdm Tay Hung Siang, his uncles and aunties like Mr Tay Koon Huay, his cousins like Mr Tay Chong Sim and his friends like Mr Philip Png well and have abundance of life. May they be rich in spirit for without such ancestors, there will be no posterity - no us and no you and me. They have blessed us and we must blessed them in return forever and ever.
