No 1102 of Living Life Series 1
We cannot stop idealism in religion even though this is far fetched.
The ideal that all will be well if we just believe in God and saints works at least half the time for the short and medium term but in the end it boils down to effort and stamina, not mere belief.
God and saints do answer prayers if we have the heart to seek their blessings.
The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨says that with heavenly interventions, small issues will be no issues. Big issues will at least be small issues.
But there is the element of fate. What we are destined to face, we will have to face.
But there is the game changer. If we have learnt and fulfilled what we came into this life to learn or overcome, then fate can be changed.
God and saints cannot do so for us as then there will be no learning. This is the open secret of changing fate.
Just believe in God and saints will not do. Such idealism is good for religion to catch on and be popular. Without idealism, no one will go for religion.
But in the end, it is the ability to learn from life that counts. What are we here for and why we have to face fate? Why is fate at times cruel and why God and saints cannot do much with fate?
Well, we ourselves must learn and if we have learnt what we are here to learn, fate can be changed. God and saints cannot learn on our behalf. They cannot live our lives.
They cannot change our fate but we can. The little blessings and values they impart to us through religions do help in some way. But fate is in our own hands and not the hands of God and saints.
One fate that all who are of flesh and blood cannot seem to avoid is death. We rise from dust and we will end in dust. We must know that going for flesh will always end up with going from dust to life and from life to dust. If we lust not for birth in flesh or form, then we do not suffer from such fate as death.
If we see only with eyes and not with mind, we will end up blind to life or even in life. If we can see with our mind, even visual blindness can be overcome literally or otherwise either in current life or in the next - but better in current life....
Contemplate on this and have insight. See better with the mind. Many have eyes but they don't see. Insight holds the key to make life better. Have the peace in life come what may. Be on top of life and fate - the yin and the yang. This they call common sense or Tao 道.
But when men create religion or call this religion, they no longer think enough to have insight. They well throw common sense out of the window and just believe. They think that they will be saved by just believing in God and saints.
Well, for starters this works wonderfully and is great. But when they stop thinking, how far can they go, let alone try and change fate. They will just blame God or think that this is the wish of God and they have to accept fate.
They think God will prevail and help them in the end - just that God needs time and will have his own ways which are not the ways they think they want God to do.
We attribute too many good points to God and when what we believe don't seem to be supported by reality, some may think that God is the imagination of man and religion is a hoax.
So when we face bad fate, we accept it as the will of God. Such thinking can lend weight to talk that religion is at least make-belief even if not a hoax. This can discredit religion and is due to men and not God and saints.
Many are like gas bags and are all talk but no substance. Empty vessels make the most noise. The quiet men of religion may be more substantial than the noisy ones at the fore.
Often the charismatic ones among the noisy lot can amass big following. They will reassure you that God will help you and has his ways and will decide how to help and at time best known to him. Just wait and have faith.
To them nothing is fated but all decided by above. They will say hold to your faith for God may be putting you to test - the test of fire. This adds mystique and a cloak of suspense to life and fate.
Well, perhaps this serves a purpose or perhaps there is nothing secretive about fate especially ill-fate. God knows but man often don't seem to know when they can know.
It is a matter of being logical and applying common sense - Tao 道. When there is no common sense or logic, anything goes and we can argue till kingdom comes but we will not arrive at common base or conclusion for one and all.
The reality is that there is the same initial logic and goodness behind all religions. This is the inner truth of religions that the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 talks about since his descent in 1969.
But man goes for the ideals and his fertile mind throws up ideals. He will never be down to earth to know and learn why he is fated in certain way, let alone change it.
He just leaves it to God. He has crutch mentality and has ideal and faith in God. Doing nothing more than this is the solution. Then he has to face fate and not change it. He will accept this as God's plan for him. Of course if his fate is not that bad, there is no issue. Then he praises God.
Many just do that. They don't want to be their own God. But that is not doing justice to God. They just leave to God or blame God.
They must live in logic, be godly and be master of life and not let fate be master. Then they will be closer to God because they have the bit of God in them - Godliness. They have Tao 道 - logic. They become more God worthy.
