The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

When religion can cause strife and no peace

No 1257 of Living Life Series 1

If someone who is not in politics but from religion is considered the ruler of the people in that religion, what would you expect if he did not deny this but even accept this? Definitely he will raise the ire of the government of the land. He will cause strife and there will be no peace.

Nowadays this do not happen but leaders of religion may be charismatic and looked upon by the following in much the same way as rulers of their lives. This too will raise eyebrows.

The safest way is to stress that religion is between man and God, not men and God through intermediary of a man-godhead. Man is man and God is God.

The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 showed the dangers of men turning to a man for divine guidance. He did away with the need of intermediary of another man.

He ensures any good lay leaders are in the background and adopt a low profile so as to be not seen and not heard. This does not mean they are less effective.

Otherwise any temple with the good name of the good lord will for sure end up more like cult with more idolising of man than of God and saints. That man may have better hold and sway on men than the rulers of the land. This can be disturbing.

In fact, the good lord wants us not to idolise even him - a heavenly saint. We are not supposed to see his wooden image as an idol of him. We are to see the doctrine in the image and regard the doctrine of life as the image.

The doctrine of life is in grasping the ups and downs and to be atop this yin and yang like depicted by the feet of the good lord in his image stepping on and atop the elements.

His left hand in salutation bids us to be steadfast and not waver - to hold on as we need to persevere and be resilient over a long time and many lifetimes.

His right hand holds the sceptre of the mission to show the need for this in any religion. His mission is to awaken this in any religion and bring it to the fore.

All religions must hold on to this logical approach to life, be it spiritual or otherwise. Then there will be peace.

Truth is as simple as that but though simple, it is a different thing when it comes to practice. It is also so simple that many just could not see this and accept it. It is simple but yet profound and difficult to perceive.
