The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Forgive them for they know not what they do

No 576 of Living Life Series 1

This post is in line with the mission of Lord Bo Tien to reawaken men to the common purpose of religions which is often sidelined by men

The temple bells are ringing and voices of the faithful fill the air with serenity and cheers that all will be well for men if they just believe and have faith. That they say is more important than being better in Doctrine or Word by the day. It seems so simple and easy. Just believe and all that begin well that way will end well.

Those with worldly blessings pray for more and those with less lament that God is not listening to them but still hold hopes that God and saints will bless. All think of themselves and even those who pray for others do so because if they don't, they are not cultivating the love of God and saints for others. They must show that they too are reaching out to save others so that all in the boat of life and death will find peace and joy in the promise of God and saints.

They are in the heart of hearts actually rooting for their own salvation. They are reaching out for their own peace and true joy in life which somehow they think they can have through worldly and material blessings of sorts but which often are not as satisfying. They go for more but many still think this must be in the form of what the material world could offer.

Yes this is what the religions of the world are attending to and they dangle this as carrot for all men, or rather the daily bread for men. But alas men shall not live by carrot or bread alone. All will face the reality that worldly blessings are necessary for worldly needs but it is the often intangible spiritual needs that must be attended to.

But people in a temple or church of men think like men and this is because they are men. They pay lip service to the intangible and prefer to go for tangible - what they can experience and have with the five senses.

They thank God for the food and for the good day they can have. Yes it is important to be men and to live like men in the tangible world of flesh and material needs.

Men however are privileged to be men and must go for higher calling. They often summarily dismiss this by just believing in God and saints. This they think will suffice and is good enough. This they think is what God and saints expect of them.

Why is men so shallow and go to a temple for nectar of worldly and personal blessings though they may deny this upfront? Even the prayer for helping others in need is because men want to meet their own need - to save their own skin.

Lord Bo Tien

No wonder, Lord Bo Tien related the parable of insects coming to a flower for nectar and not for the flower though insects are attracted to the flower. Blame not the flower for insects coming to it. This is only natural that insects will be attracted to the flower for nectar and this is how there will be more flowers and more nectar.

Saints of God are like flowers. Blame not the saints for men who come to a temple for nectar of personal gains - more so worldly gains. Forgive them and accommodate them till one day they can wake up to the higher calling of the Word or Doctrine.

Then they will know that 'The Word is God'. Then they will live in The Word. This seems to be the approach of God and saints towards men - men who know not what they do and must be forgiven all the time for this.

The sad part is that such men are the ones who run many of the temples and houses of God and saints. Forgive them for they know not what they do. They are mired down by the desires of the flesh and worldly life.

It is not that worldly life is bad or not needed but that too much indulgence or even not having any is not for the true well being of men. By all means, men can have nectar by going to the House of God but be mindful of the true purpose or calling of life.

Why are we here and why will we be reborn again and again? Why do we need to go to Heaven in afterlife and not experience it in this life? What is Heaven? Is it the worldly needs we go for in the worldly life we have?

It is not but yet men live as though it is and as though tomorrow matters not. Forgive them for they know not what they do. We are of course, like it or not, also included among the lot.

When kingdom is about to come, and we are in discomfort, we ask, "God are you there?" God and saints may appear to remain silent but to those who can hear the silent divine call, they will know that God says, "Are you with me? I have given The Word. Didn't you heed the Word? "

Those who live in The Word or Tao have God and saints in them. There is no void in their hearts but peace amid the sea of unease around.
