No 476 of Living Life Series 1
In a temple or church dedicated to the name of God or a saint, let not men forget that they go there to be near to God and saints and not to be near men but far from God.
A temple not like any other temples |
Those who proclaim and trumpet that they are there for God and saints would be a disservice to men and God if they end up going near men instead of God and saints. The near in a temple may be far and the far near. This Lord Bo Tien did say.
To know God and saints, we must know what God and saints stand for. If we know not the doctrine of Heaven, then we know not God and saints for the Word is God.
Lord Bo Tien |
Lord Bo Tien says that we can only have correct image of him and his mission if we know the doctrine that he stands for. The doctrine is in his image and the image is the doctrine. If we know not doctrine, in a house of God such as the temple of the lord saint, we will end up seeing men instead of the lord saint when we enter the temple. The image of the lord becomes the backdrop.
This is more so when a temple like a flower attracts ants and insects coming to it for nectar. They claim the place as their own. There will always be men who are like the ants and insects coming to the flower. This parable did the lord saint Lord Bo Tien reiterate.
In due course, such men of the temple end up speaking out for the temple and if we ourselves know not the doctrine, then we will see only the men in front of the image and not the doctrine in the image. We will end up worshiping men instead of God and saints.
What is the doctrine of the lord saint? There is God and Heaven. There are the saints or prophets and there are the religions and the sects. They are set up by the saints who decided what best for men to believe and how to hold them together through dogmas, so that they can move more as one whole and be like sands cemented together like a concrete pillar as said by Lord Bo Tien.
Dogmas differ from religion to religion and they need not be in the realm of reality. They are ultimately the prerogatives of the saints. The dogmas serve as the cementing material for sand particles in a concrete pillar. More dogmas evolved over time.
Men are separated from God by the yin and yang which embroil them in cyclical cause and effect which many know as karma. Karma is the cause of rebirth. Rebirth is in the will of God because it is inherent in the system of nature as we know it.
Nature or life has to do with polarities which like fire and water are antagonistic yet complementary and synergistic in dynamic fashion like a revolving globe.
We refer to them as yin and yang. The system was set up by God and has life of its own. It is behind life.
Men must learn to know yin and yang and learn how to be atop and balance the polarities of yin and yang. Men are of course weak and need help of saints through religions and sects in the four cardinal directions.
Men come to temples to know God and the system that is of God. Temples and churches are many but there is one true or universal temple.
Lord Bo Tien says that the whole universe or world is the true temple. Heaven is the roof. Religions and sects in the four cardinal directions are the pillars. All beings and men are in this universal temple.
The doctrinal points described above in a way do constitute the overall common doctrine or Word behind religions. They must be viewed as such.
In a temple, we come to know God from Man and if we do not know the Word that is God, we will end up knowing Man in place of God for we will see Man in God and not the Word that is God and is in God. God and saints are one if we know the Word. So also are religions and sects. They are different but yet one if we know the Word.
It is thus important to know God from Man, more so in a temple. But mind you, the world we are in is one big temple or church.
