The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

What is meditation is not but what is not is...

No 1463 of Living Life Series 1

Meditation is about having inner peace. There are two types.

One is to relax and free the mind from thoughts. But if thoughts and bodily sensations intrude, do not wish the thoughts or bodily sensations to to go away but focus on them and they will go off. Recognise that they are just thoughts or sensations and that they are not pleasant and give no peace. then they will go away and easier for us to return to no thought and more inner peace. Some focus on awareness of breathing in and out slowly and effortlessly.

The other type of meditation is on love. We must love ourselves before we can love others and reflect on the peace we have if there is love. If fear and hatred cross our mind, we will be restless and have no love and definitely no peace. This is insight meditation.

Jesus teaches love and not illwill which gives no peace. Love promotes peace and if we cultivate the habit of both concentration and insight during meditation, this becomes our way of life throughout the day.

We don't just meditate during prayers or quiet times but we try to do so in every moment of life. Be focussed and loving not just for others but also for self throughout the day.

We must have inner peace not just during prayers or meditation sessions but throughout the day. That is why they say we must have God in us not just at prayer times or at church but throughout the day and week after week.

Basically, it is the same between meditation of different religions. There is always the wait and still the mind. Think of the important thoughts such as love or the holy teachings that come calmly and ignore the background noises but do not push away the noises. Know what is important and what are just noises in our monkey brain.

That is why Bo Tien 武 天 wants us to see. He let us see the same common basic teachings in all religions even in meditation
It is men who make religions different and seem to be in conflict. Even within one religion, people have different views and approaches. This is the making of men and not of God or saints.

Meditation is in all religions. What is meditation is not but what is not is meditation. This is seen in all religions and cultures.
