THE PURPOSE IS TO SAVE SOULS. IT IS WAY BEYOND NORMAL GOOD WORK LIKE CHARITY AND WELFARE ACTIVITIES. NO ONE SHALL BE SAVED BY GOOD WORKS ALONE BUT BY MORE THAN GOOD WORK. THERE IS NEED TO BE IMBUED WITH THE BASIC DOCTRINE COMMON TO AND BEHIND ALL RELIGIONS AND SECTS. LIVE IN DOCTRINE. DOCTRINE IN LIFE IS PARAMOUNT.

The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

What is at issue with many of us?

No 1451 of Living Life Series 1

Don't worry. Be happy. Worries do not solve problems but just make us not at peace.

Then ever the more we need rest but rest do not come easy when we are worried and have problems. We will need more rest and without rest, we cannot think calmly and clearly.

What works for others may not work for us. So do not do the way others do. What we need to do is to do the doable for us. The doable for others may not work for us.

As to the problems and issues in life, everyone is in the same situation and have their share of problems. With civilisation and progress, these should be less. But globalisation has made the world smaller. It solved many many issues but also create more as well.

That is why jobs become less and machines and internet take over. But with less jobs, there is not enough cash floating around for people to buy their services and products. Many are losing jobs and they are not alone. They just have to make do with less and be at peace. Then less money is more and they can even have savings to tide over rainy days.

There is time for sunshine and there is time for sunset. The sunset era for the world has arrived and here to stay. We must be the sunlight to brighten up the sunset that besets not only us but all. We must be at peace and create the light that brightens up the darkness of life.

But all depends on inner peace. Inner peace begins with us and in the family we have. We cannot wait for others and the world to give us peace. Then peace will be hard to come by.

We cannot depend even on a church or temple for many who go there are too seeking for inner peace but may end up creating problems that give them no peace. Then how can we be at peace and how can they give us peace.

We simply just have the peace in us come what may and we will brighten up the night sky even before the sunrise. For those not at peace, even with sunrise, the world is still dark and gloomy.

So be our own sunrise by just having inner peace. Do not depend on others even those in a temple or church. Do what we can and this is the way to more peace and happiness.

Inner peace is what we need and is in all cultures and religions. But instead men idolise God instead of what God stands for. They even idolise men. This is the reason many get no peace. The more they try to please, the more they fail to please and have no peace

This is universal to all regardless of religion. Bo Tien 武天 wants us to know regardless of our religion, culture or society. This is what we should go for. We should not idolise him and forget about what he stands for.

What he stands for is in all religions and what saints of all religions stand for. There is no need to say one is better than the other. What they dwell on is ultimately for men to have inner peace come what may.

If they are fixated on what God or saint, they see not doctrine but only the person. Worse is when they see themselves in God and saints and project God and saint as more human than divine.

They justify anger and ill-will and attribute God or saint with human weakness of wrath, anger, intolerance and jealousy and yet say God or saint is loving and divine.

Lest you forget

Do not make the mistake of idolizing any man who tells you about the Word. He is in the same boat as you even if religion refers to him as a religious leader. Mere mention of a religious leader is as good as encouraging idolising of that man. Why must there be hierarchy in religion? Hierarchy is conventional but may end up as liability rather than a necessity or asset. There should be no caste or hierarchy system in religion. No one is to be considered above another in religion. A religious leader or follower is a servant to serve you and not a leader to be idolised. Do not put him on the pedestal and make a monster out of him.

MAY ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY

May all be well and happy. May they have peace. May our departed friends and kins be well, happy and have divine peace. The main writer wishes the best for all for those near and far. Our kins may be far when they had passed on to better lives but they are near though far. He remembers and wishes his parents Mr Siow Soo Koh and Mdm Tay Hung Siang, his uncles and aunties like Mr Tay Koon Huay, his cousins like Mr Tay Chong Sim and his friends like Mr Philip Png well and have abundance of life. May they be rich in spirit for without such ancestors, there will be no posterity - no us and no you and me. They have blessed us and we must blessed them in return forever and ever.
