THE PURPOSE IS TO SAVE SOULS. IT IS WAY BEYOND NORMAL GOOD WORK LIKE CHARITY AND WELFARE ACTIVITIES. NO ONE SHALL BE SAVED BY GOOD WORKS ALONE BUT BY MORE THAN GOOD WORK. THERE IS NEED TO BE IMBUED WITH THE BASIC DOCTRINE COMMON TO AND BEHIND ALL RELIGIONS AND SECTS. LIVE IN DOCTRINE. DOCTRINE IN LIFE IS PARAMOUNT.

The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Be one with those who disagree without agreeing

No 1455 of Living Life Series 1

Problem with man is that no two can agree though they may believe in the same issue.

All know that there is goodness but no one will agree on exactly what good is. This does not mean that if we do not believe in the same way as others, we are not good.

How can we bad just because we do not see eye to eye with what some consider as good?

That we do not believe in God the way some do does not make us atheists. It is just that our belief in God is not the same.

That is why it is important to go by what God stands for and not who is God, what he can do and how great he is. That would be idolatry - hero worshiping God.

Many then project themselves and their likes and dislikes in God. God then appears very ungodly and very much like the man or men who idolise him. This is the folly of man.

Would God want to do something about this folly of man? God would but how would God do so?

Well, God can even tolerate Satan. God can have no issue tolerating men who see not what he God stands for and argue till kingdom come on whose God is better and the real God.

Why are men like that? Why are we like that? We are not perfect and God knows this very well. It is in imperfection that we can learn and realise the need to have peace come what may.

No benefit to damn others as wrong and we are right, or for that matter, others are right and we are wrong. That is not love. We need to accept others or ourselves for what we or they are and what we or they believe.

Otherwise, there is no peace and all will end up far from God even if they think they are near and the chosen ones, the heroes of God.

The near may be far and the far may be near, as mentioned by Bo Tien 武天.

Others may think we are far from God if we do not see God the way they do. They may consider us as atheists as they think our God is no God.

But the truth is that so long as we live in what God stands for and this is to have inner peace come what may, surely we are near though others think we are far.

Just give them our ears, be empathic, appear to agree with them and go along. This will bridge the chasms or big gaps and keep the peace. Then we can be able to live in this world.

If we speak too soon, we will be alienated. What matters is that we can get along with them. Otherwise how are we to be with the world.

Let them accept us and this does not mean we follow them blindly. We need to win them over. Make them feel we are one with them and when time is ripe and they take us as part of them, we right the wrong but never ever say they are wrong for that will spell the end of oneness with them.

We need to be in the world with them and the only way is to keep the peace. Never say outright they are wrong. We need to just listen to them. Without them, we cannot live in this world and work with the world.

Without them, we cannot learn how to be at peace and make life work for us.

We can change ourselves to have peace and live in this world. We cannot change others before we can be at peace and make life work. That will not happen.

We change ourselves to be at peace so that we can have life with those not at peace. One day, when others are ready, we can share with them on how to have peace and make life work.

Be one with those who disagree without agreeing. Life is as simple as that. Religion is life and life is religion. Religion thus is as simple as being one with those who disagree without agreeing and losing individuality.

Then religion will bring all under one roof with the world as the one common temple for all religions. This Bo Tien 武天 refers to as the universal temple with religions as the pillars and God and saints as the roof.

Lest you forget

Do not make the mistake of idolizing any man who tells you about the Word. He is in the same boat as you even if religion refers to him as a religious leader. Mere mention of a religious leader is as good as encouraging idolising of that man. Why must there be hierarchy in religion? Hierarchy is conventional but may end up as liability rather than a necessity or asset. There should be no caste or hierarchy system in religion. No one is to be considered above another in religion. A religious leader or follower is a servant to serve you and not a leader to be idolised. Do not put him on the pedestal and make a monster out of him.

MAY ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY

May all be well and happy. May they have peace. May our departed friends and kins be well, happy and have divine peace. The main writer wishes the best for all for those near and far. Our kins may be far when they had passed on to better lives but they are near though far. He remembers and wishes his parents Mr Siow Soo Koh and Mdm Tay Hung Siang, his uncles and aunties like Mr Tay Koon Huay, his cousins like Mr Tay Chong Sim and his friends like Mr Philip Png well and have abundance of life. May they be rich in spirit for without such ancestors, there will be no posterity - no us and no you and me. They have blessed us and we must blessed them in return forever and ever.
