No 1406 of Living Life Series 1
It is in the nature of people to do things differently from what others do, more so what their families do. This applies not only to life but also to religion.
They will always want to show that they are more right than what they are brought up to do or believe. This is the upmanship in people and we cannot avoid that.
Thus churches or temples will be deserted when the young in the families leave the churches or temples like droves and they go to new churches or temples set up by also those who just do not see eye to eye with the established churches or temples.
These new churches or temples seem more dynamic and attract more support from the up and coming young. They have bigger buildings and much bigger congregations.
Thus many old churches or temples end up with dwindling congregations and financial support. Is this the design of God or is this the way of men?
Bo Tien 武 天 says that the way of man is not the same as the way of God? Why would God want to divide the old and the young?
The cycle continues and when the young become the old, those young they brought up in the churches too will desert their churches and go to new ones.
The teachings of the newer churches or temples will be very different not in the holy texts but in the interpretation and application.
But the concern is that people just don't see the common ground but think that the oldies have got it all wrong. Won't that tend to cause more and more distortion of the teachings of God and saints till the teachings become very very different.
This happens not just in one religion but in any religion - in fact in all religions. That is why religions will lose its original emphasis and correctness over time.
That is why there will always be new prophets or saints coming to this world - to correct what went wrong. But alas there will be repeat of history.
Bo Tien 武 天 wants to point out that this is why there is the all important need for all regardless of religion to see the common ground - the basic original teachings that are identical in all religions. He refers to this as the Inner Truth.
Despite the flourishing of religions, churches and temples, there is need to go back to the fundamentals. We often cannot get it right in religion. Getting it right in religion is a concern, or is it? You have the right to differ.
But do remember that humanity has very short memory and cannot learn from the past. Humanity keeps making the same mistakes and face the same pitfalls generation after generation.
This is how humanity often creates its own hell on Earth even though the intention is to have create a heaven on Earth. When will humanity wake up and be wiser off. Do we have to wait forever?
History is replete with proof that humanity repeats the same mistakes from generation to generation. Yet we don't seem to be aware of this. Are we blind and oblivious to reality and dream away too much?
That may be the very reason why there is the mission of Bo Tien 武 天 to awaken us to reality of the Inner Truth; otherwise having the second coming of saints and the cyclical descent of saints from above will be of limited advantage to humanity.
