No 1405 of Living Life Series 1
Bad habits do not add life to life and may even erode away life in life. They are why some fail or achieve less in life. They are carried over from past lives.
The bad habit to do well to outshine others is never good though we say competition is good. Life should not be a rat race.
But we should not idle away life and be forgotten by the world. We will end up with less life.
What is needed is yin yang balance advocated by sages. This Bo Tien 武 天 reminds us - regardless of our religion or culture.
Do set reasonable life goals and go for it. But be on top of life and not be saddled by and squashed by life.
To reach this ideal we have to be pragmatic and not be idealistic and end up no better.
Don't do nothing and be dependent on God and saints. Don't say that what we need is to believe and have faith. This some refer to as the belief in grace of God through saints.
They say that saints in all religions suffer so that we may be saved and be blessed. They carry the cross of life for us so that we can get what we want without carrying the cross ourselves.
We may end up getting crossed with life though we will not dare to think that belief in grace has failed us. We end up holding on to dear life what we regard as the grace of God or saints.
When we do question the belief in grace of God or saints, there will ever be others who will threaten us and say we are misled by the devil. They think we are possessed and want to exorcise us.
Isn't this too a bad habit of men in respect of religion? This bad habit makes us have less of life both in the worldly and spiritual world.
We become bedeviled not by anyone but by our bad habit and ignorance. Bad habit waters away life and erodes down our potential in life, be it spiritual or otherwise.
Bo Tien 武 天 says that in any religion or culture, there is the common teaching that we must learn from life, both our own and that of others.
We do not have to even make mistakes and learn the hard way. By learning this way from life and more so from others' lives, we learn to eradicate our bad habits mirrored in others and we also pre-empt what would otherwise be our future bad habits or pitfalls.
We do not need to carry on the mistakes we made in past life and we can ensure we do not end up having more bad habits and more mistakes. We do not need to learn the hard way.
Why wait till we make mistakes through bad habits before we can wake up and learn? Some don't even want to learn and just wallow in misery they create due to bad habits.
They question why God or a saint has forsaken them. They become so obsessed by this. They tell themselves that if God or saint has forsaken them what can they do. Who can undo what God or saint metes out? This seems to be the case for them. They just give up and accept their lot. Is this the wish of God or saint?
