No 1397 of Living Life Series 1
To believe in God or saint is good. But to be over dependent on God or saint is not.
Do not enslave yourself to anyone. God does not want that. Perhaps the Evil One wants that. Then, aren't you making God behaving like Satan.
Then again, who is Satan. If you put the blame for all our bad experiences on him, aren't you faultless and perfect like God. Satan is more an excuse for not doing right and for not blaming God.
You are who you are, what you did or do, what you thought and think. Isn't that obvious?
But like all, you want to deny and live in denial. Wake up and have hold on yourself.
Ups and downs are to be expected - the yin and the yang as reminded to us by Bo Tien 武 天. This is the wisdom of the sages of old. We must come to terms with yin and yang.
We can ask for blessings now and then from God and saints. But who faces the music? Who lives life? It is you and you must live life. Don't expect God or saint to live life for you.
Bo Tien 武 天 says that we still need faith. When we pray, God or saint will come to us and he will see how best to help us. Usually, it is to open a way out.
We have to decide what to do. We still have to walk the way ourselves. But at least even if our issues cannot be resolved, these will be lesser issues. Bo Tien 武 天 says.
But certain issues cannot be helped and we just have to accept. We may say this is fate but better to refer this as karma.
One such example applicable to all is death. God or saint cannot stop us from dying though we can postpone death.
We need to be at peace with life come what may. We must practise this every moment and be mindful. This is mental cultivation that is common and referred to by God and all saints.
This inner truth talked about by Bo Tien 武 天 is universal. This is in all religions but people just pay lip service to this and just want to be spoon fed by God or saint and blame Satan what God or saint cannot give.
That is how ridiculous and absurd many can be - including you and me - including us. We can make religion absurd and misleading. We can make God look bad... That is unthinkable but is not uncommon. Isn't this sad?
Why this happens is because what was appropriate centuries ago when people were simple and not so well informed will if applied to 2017 and beyond be out of place. Religion will be off the mark if we apply what was said in ancient times to a very different context from ages past. Don't make religion look absurd and misleading.
While killing even in religious context was the way of religion in ancient times in unruly lands where nothing worked without the sword, this is unthinkable in the context of other times and in other countries.
It certainly is odd and giving a bad impression if we go by the letter of what was acceptable in ancient times. Times have changed. If society fails to be more aware of this, then society may make religion look absurd and misleading. Society risk tarnishing and soiling the good name of Gods and saints. That is blasphemy of sorts, isn't it?
