No 1386 of Living Life Series 1
We don't wait for the afterlife? The end-all can be here and now. Why wait for afterlife. Religion is just the means to the end and not the end in itself. The end is still life. Life is here and now. Don't die to life and wait for afterlife to have life.
Bliss is within our reach here and now and in this moment and life. Why wait to tug on the coattails of someone when we can have coats of our own? Why be so helpless and need to depend totally on someone else?
That is not what God, saints or prophets want us to be? They have nothing to gain and more troubles in their hands. They will be upset and will try to change us if they can. But can they do so when many men are like that?
What they want is for us to grow up and be as self-reliant as we can. That would add to their bliss. They will be pleased if they see us doing well. They want to see us to be like them, if not totally but at least a little. To do so, we have to do so now and not wait and wait - till when?
Only demons enjoy and want us to be reliant totally on them and to surrender our souls. Surely God, saints and prophets are no demons.
But some men just enjoy and relish to see other men be at the feet of God, saints and prophets. They even spread terror in minds and inflict bodily harm to those who do not surrender their bodies and souls to what they believe. They act as though others beliefs and ways (even in the same one religion) don't matter. They want to monopolise. They do not believe in plurality and diversity.
These men are pitiful. They act as though they stand in for God and saints when they are far from right. They know not what they do, and even if they do, they choose to be demons to other men and make God, saints and prophets appear so unkind to those not of their kin and kind. Fortunately, such men are finite and relatively few but they are the vocal ones and can be loud.
We have to learn from the folly of such weakness in such men - more so those who even insist they are of God and for God and saints. They are so near and yet so far from divine. They are in the minority and we have to be thankful for that.
No wonder Bo Tien 武 天 says we can learn from the strengths and weakness of other men. We can learn from their mistakes and even from such men as they do have the good in them.
No man is all bad. There is still the good in them. Do not regard them as all bad. If we do so, then we are no better. We are then demonic in our own way and will be far though near to God and saints.
They have good intention but they are short in being right. Perhaps, they think a world of themselves. Their self-righteousness have got into their heads. Feel sorry for them and pray for them.
Both the wrong and those who judge them to be wrong can end up demonic - can end up far though wanting to be near to divinity. Do not end up far though near to God.
