No 1705 of Living Life Series 1
When we ask for forgiveness from God or a heavenly saint like Bo Tien 武天, it is not that we have wronged God or the heavenly saint, but that we have not put into practice what God or the heavenly saint wants us to practice.
We have disappointed God or heavenly saint. But it is us who are hurt or harmed, definitely not God or heavenly saint.
We do penance like walking over hot charcoal. This is to show that any wrong we do, we are the ones who get hurt or burnt, not God or heavenly saint.
It is not in God or a heavy saint to want to punish or hurt us. To the uninitiated in doctrine of what God or heavenly saint stands for, fire walking is to cleanse our transgressions.
By our own are actions done. We must answer for that.
Asking God or heavenly saint to forgive us is to bark up the wrong tree.
We must know that we have wronged ourselves and others, and that we have caused pain. We must rectify and be good.
But we still have to face the effects of whatever we went wrong. We must know that we can be burnt by the wrong we do.
The walking over hot charcoal is to bring us awareness of wrong we did. Fire walking is to show we can be burnt by the wrong we did but if we are willing to change to be good, God and heavenly saint can help to mitigate the consequences. But we will still feel the heat of what wrong we commit.
