The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Heaven ever open to the games men play

No 456 of Living Life Series 1

Ji Gong the Living Buddha
Heaven is ever open to the games men play even in a temple or monastery. We must ask Ji Gong as he knows first hand. In his lifetime as man he was rebuked and scorned at for not keeping to the rules of the Chan Buddhist monastery.

The monks there disrobed him and he wandered the streets. He practised from the heart rather than from the gut. There is no outward display and no games to impress society outwardly.

Heaven did not rebuke the hypocrisy and double standards and the monastery fared well but Ji Gong fared even better. Read on and know better why Heaven is ever open to the games men play.

Lord Bo Tien
Heaven is ever open to the games men play and never shut its door on men just because men play games not only with other men but even with God and saints. Men do come to God and saints because men want benefit from God and saints.

That they love God and saints is because they can or rather seem to get what they want from God and saints. Outwardly, men may say and profess that they are devoted to God and saints and have no other intentions or hidden agenda whatsoever.

But it is no secret at all that men are attracted by the nectar of personal blessings like insects and ants to the flower. The analogy of the flower and insects with men and God and saints was and has been stressed by Lord Bo Tien.

This is not that it is wrong of insects  or men coming for nectar but that "how can we blame the flower for insects coming to it.". This was put succinctly by Lord Bo Tien in one of his annual messages.

In fact, God and saints must be open enough to let all pass through the doors of a temple to come to be sheltered by Heaven. All have done wrong and fallen short of the glory of God and saints. It is only benevolent of God and saints to open the doors of Heaven to all and even to criminals.

The lord saint Lord Bo Tien categorically said that men should not pass disparaging remarks on men of disrepute and unbecoming ways for coming to a house of God and saints. It is the prerogative of a lord saint if he so decides to train such a man.

Men can play games any way they want but men often think God and saints don't seem to know as they seem to have their ways. Other fellow men supposedly wiser and learned however are not so open and will be riled and disgusted by the games men play in the house of God.

They wondered why God and saints seem to encourage and egg them on and make mockery of Heaven more so if such erring men seem to fare well in life. They ask what God and saints are up to and wondered if God and saints exist or are perhaps just mere concoctions of men.

So what if God and saints don't seem to mind that insects come to a flower for nectar? Why must men bother when God and saints do not seem to lift a finger?

But the wise are those who learn from every situation. Lord Bo Tien says that men must learn from the issues of men. He added that the issues of men are many and plentiful because men are within the throes of wild ups and downs of life, the yin and yang. They are ever swung round and round by yin and yang often so often that passionately entangled in embrace.
Unless men learn, men will be thrown around by yin and yang. To be atop and balance the yin and yang is to have peace. Even the better of men will not be spared from such woes but they are better off than the worst of the lot.

Don't the worst of the lot need more to be in the house of God, never mind if they don't seem to learn and seem to be willful and bent on being unholy of the lot though often in guise of sheer holiness and doing good works for society.

Lord Bo Tien says we must learn from all of the myriad of the strengths and weaknesses of men especially even those of the worst of the lot. Remember though that the worst of men may be good in special ways and that their flaws may well open our eyes not to follow in their erring ways.

Last but not least, if God and saints are as judgmental as men, then they will mete out judgement on us, everyone of us. Then all of us must face retributions the moment we step into life or a temple for all come to life or a temple for personal gains but outwardly say we are there for God and saints and for the good of the many.

Heaven, dear friends are ever open to the games of men. We can be dishonest and not open with God and saints but we are after all their children and they will still love us and give us ropes to learn. But of course, God and saints hope we will learn fast.

Before we can even do so, they will bless us. This is not that the bad will be rewarded but that being children of God and saints, we will always look at us as their children.

There is no tit for tat. They will bless us even before we make good because they want us to cherish life and life is the true gospel. Life will teach us.

There are lots of lessons we can learn in life and the best place to learn this is in a temple or church.

But Lord Bo Tien says that the ultimate temple or church is the world. The sky or heaven is the roof of the temple. The religions and sects in the four cardinal directions are the pillars and all under Heaven are in this universal temple or church, even those who belong to no religion or sect and say God and saints are humbugs or useless.

There is no true hell for even those in hell is in the universal church or temple. Hell is still the purview of God and saints.

Men may play games but God and saints don't. Men who lead other men in a church or temple must be open to the games men play and not try to mete so-called divine justice by taking them to court to face the music of the land when God and saints are open to such erring men and still shower them with love and blessings. Heaven is ever open to the games that men play.

Omitofo too will agree. We don't have to kowtow to him or worship him or be part of the Pure Land sect before he will bless us. He is Omitofo after all. He is the Buddha of Infinite Light. No Pure Land follower will damn anyone for not believing and pledging allegiance to him. Saints like him are no jealous saints and only have love for all, no wrath and that is for sure. Even those in Hell are worthy of his love and can call out his name Omitofo.

OMITOFO.
