The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

What is the correct religion?

No 1339 of Living Life Series 1

What is the correct religion? This question is often raised and if there is indeed the correct religion, then what do we make out of other religions?

Rather we should ask ourselves what is the correct truth? Truth must be a value or principle beyond question and that does not raise controversy.

Which is the more rational question? What is the correct religion? What is the correct truth? It is easier to approach the issue of what is the correct truth than what is the correct religion.

Like it or not, men will never be able to see eye to eye even when truth is concerned. Why is this like that?

The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that men are like that. In the first place many do not recognise him as saint and will not address him as lord. This is alright. We may refer to him as Bo Tien 武天. Do take him as one of us. He would rather that we be comfortable with him.
Bo Tien 武天 says that we should not be concerned with who he is but what he wants to share with us about religions. He says and we will agree that the issues of men are many and plenty. Even in religion, there will be issues. That is in the nature of men.

We need to be good and pure. What is good and pure differs from man to man. No two think alike even in the same home and family.

Some say to be good is to accept a specific saint and no need to go further. Some say the more the merrier, Chinese culture has one saint for every aspect and job in life

Well, this is in the nature of man. But do remember that we cannot expect any two to think exactly the same way, So do we expect one answer to the question - "What is the correct religion?"

If we accept that there is no one answer, then this is more truthful and it is easier to agree and accept one another even if we are of different persuasions.

What is the correct religion? If the truth is that there is no one answer, then this is the truth. The truth is that there is no one answer.

During festivals like Hari Raya, Wesak, Christmas and New Year celebrations, people of all persuasions celebrate and are one though not one but many. They are not of one religion and which is the correct religion is no issue at all. ThIs does not stop many to celebrate together

Life is really simple but we insist on making it difficult and complex. So did Confucius say. He is a man but some say he is saint. If this makes more happy, then he is comfortable with that - to be just considered as a man. Bur his ardent followers may feel crossed and if so, then they are not living up to what he teaches.
