The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

For goodness sake, what then is good?

No 786 of Living Life Series 1



Religions all teach men one thing that is not to be bad and mind you, not just being not bad but to be of some and more good. How do we be really good? 

We must be good in actions but we must be more good than that. We must think good and not think bad but yet do good. That would be questionable.

Ultimately we must be pure and clean in mind. How can this be done? We must not be jumpy and have anger and ill-will. Anger is the cause of many issues and problems. 

Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) says that the problems of men are many and plentiful.

This is largely due to anger and ill-will due to contentious thinking. There is lack of love for self and for others. What then is correct thinking? 

Thinking must be based on truth. Good thoughts and actions based on fantasy may be good but not good enough. Fantasy blinds people to reality. 

If people believe that there is no life after death, then their capability for being good and have love for life is limited by their wrong view. They will not go all the way and more. They will be self centered and go for their own personal worldly gain and love which is short sighted - myopic and not the love that stands up to scutiny.

Likewise, if they believe that there is eternal heaven or hell based on this singular present life of a human being and there are no past and future lives or rebirth, then this is odd. Eternal happiness and damnation surely cannot be decided by what people do in just one life. This smacks of lack of love and surely is not the wish of God and saints. 

How cruel and evil can it be to mete out eternal hell for just some bad people do in just this present life? That falls way short of the love for life and fellow men. And the irony of it all is that it is the truth that those who had done bad also had done some good. 

So wake up, fellow men and be more good and complete in your thinking of God and saints. God and saints are not like that but this is often how some men make fellow men mend and be good. This is not the making of God and saints. 

Who will ever say, "If you don't believe in my God, you go to Hell." How can not believing alone be bad, let alone evil? It is just that he is not good enough to know more of God and saints the way they and perhaps other people believe. 

For goodness sake, don't be bought over by other peoples' idea of what is good. Be good enough to think for yourself on what is good. But then for some, the question further begs the question of what then is good if it is good for some but not good for others. For goodness sake, what then is good? 

In the overall analysis, what is good is to have inner peace come what may. God and saints do not want to let us know more of who they are and what they are up to now as this will not help us to be better but instead derail us from the goodness of inner peace. 

Be at peace with the world and more importantly, this must start with self and inner peace with ourselves matters more. If we cannot handle the world within us, how then to be good and be at peace with the world we are in. 

Nothing matters more than inner peace and this is what all religions hope more people should and can have. At least, we must have some semblance of the inner peace of God and saints. This is the central message of Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) so that all will be better members of their respective religions. Inner peace is the good that all must have. 

Well, doesn't that answer the question: For goodness sake, what then is good?
Let there be peace the world over
and this must begin with the world
within the self. Know the self within
if we want to know God and saints.
Trying to know God and saints more
will come to naught if we know not the self
and are far from inner peace.
The greatest good is in knowing self
and be at peace with self.
