The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Tao Te Ching 道德经 on Tao 道 and Man

No 860 of Living Life Series 1

道德经 Tao Te Ching literally means Canon  of the Way  Tao and Virtue  Te. It is the canon  of the virtue /effectiveness of the Way. Te  has also been translated as power or manifestation.

Tao as defined in the Tao Te Ching Chapter 1 :

" The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be named is not the eternal name.
The nameless is the beginning of heaven and earth."

This passage means that Tao  is present, and shall never cease to exist.

The meaning is that Tao has always existed and Tao will continue to exist after all physical matter ceases to exist, for Tao is behind all. You can say it is the creator of all. Tao is even above and beyond God Almighty the Jade Emperor.

In the Tao Te Ching 道德经, chapter 25, with regards to Tao , it partly states,

"Something mysteriously formed,
Born before heaven and earth.
In the silence and the void,
Standing alone and unchanging.
Ever present and in motion.
Perhaps it is the mother of ten thousand things.
I do not know its name.
Call it Tao. For lack of a better, I call it great."

In the beginning of beginning, there was primordial energy or Tao. From it arose the supra-universe with the First Pure One. From one arose two and from two arose three - The Three Pure Ones in the three supra-universes. It is said that from one arose two and from two arose three and more. God Almighty The Jade Emperor was sent by the First Pure One to oversee the universes we know with the yin and yang that evolved from the primordial energy - Tao.

Chapter 77 in the Tao Te Ching 道德经 states in part the following,

"The Tao of heaven is to take from those who have too much and give to those who do not have enough."

"Man's way is different.
He takes from those who do not have enough
to give to those who already have too much.
What man has more than enough and gives it to the world?
Only the man of Tao

A man of Tao  has enough even though he has less. He has less wants and have more to spare. A man without Tao wants more and even rob the poor to enrich himself and others who are already rich and like himself want more.

Men without Tao contribute towards yin yang imbalance but men of Tao cultivate yin yang balance in him and are even able to play his part to contribute towards the yin yang balance in the world around him.

Tao  ensures that the universes below the supra-universes are of yin and yang. Those who can balance yin and yang will reach towards the peace of eternal Tao that is even beyond the supra-universes of the Three Pure Ones and their retinues.

Life is a balancing act for one and all. There is peace when there is balance and restlessness when peace is not there.
The image of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 manifests the essence of Tao. The image echoes this need to balance the yin and yang - as depicted by his feet on the elements. This can be done through any religion or sect. The teachings of saints of religions will ultimately lead towards this balance. This is the inner truth of the oneness of religions in bringing peace of life in their respective ways.

Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 is a messenger of Tao to bring this to light in people who are in the darkness and not see the light of the oneness among beings and people alike.

If humanity listens and is in tune with Tao, there will no taking away but giving, be it with individuals or with religions. Religions like individuals must enrich one another. This will strengthen all individuals and all religions. There is no such thing as "I win and you lose" but "you win and I too as well." This is the balance of Tao  - the balance of yin and yang.

"I may not have plenty but what I have is enough. I can still spare and give. This is the spirit of Tao ."

A man of  Tao in any religion gives to other religions and will not take away from other religions. He enriches not only his own religion but also other religions in ways more than one.

"What man has more than enough and gives it to the world?
Only the man of  Tao."
