The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

To be good and pure

No 1028 of Living Life Series 1

All religions teach on the need to be good and not to do bad.

Goodness has to do with love. Love must not be for oneself alone but for others as well.

We also cannot be good to others and not good to oneself. To be good, we cannot forget ourselves.

We too cannot live as though others are not there. We must consider others as well as our own interests.

We must love life and not cause harm and hurt. Ultimately, we must have purity of thinking. We must purify the mind. As we think, so will we be.

We cannot achieve overnight the ideal purity. It is better to go one step at a time. It is good enough if we just be a little more good and pure so long as we do not consciously want to be not good.

We cannot be like God and saint overnight. We may even backtrack now and then.

We may be far from purity but religions enable God and saints to be with us even if we are far from good enough. We just need to believe and have faith. We need only to start off with this and with a little or even with no good at all. We will then be on our way though still far from ideal. We will hopefully learn along the way.

We will be near yet far. We will be far yet near. This did the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 say.

We must accept ourselves for what we are and not feel guilt. We must do what we can. We cannot be hating ourselves for the not good in us or for the lack of purity ideal.

Guilt brings on dislike and even hatred to self and that is not good, let alone contribute in any way to purity of the mind. We should continue to progress and even a wee bit at a time is good enough.

But once a year or so, we must have more concerted effort to improve on and be more entrenched in the habit - to be good and pure.

At a temple of the good lord, there is the annual purity observance of 49 days before Mission Day on 13th day of the ninth lunar month.

Mission Day celebrates and commemorates the day of the first descent by the good lord in 1969 to introduce the mission of saving souls through all religions. The message is that all religions are one in mission though they may be different.
