No 1323 of Living Life Series 1.
People of religion learn to be wise - to be wise up with the follies of life and the world. But what is wisdom?
Wisdom is just common sense. Common sense makes the difference to bring about insight. With insight comes more wisdom.
Common sense is not so common. It is common sense that most people are involved with the world, the ways of the world and the need to have sensuality. This even applies to religion.
But spirituality of any religion is beyond the ways of the world - nothing to do with sensuality and material worldliness. However, it pays to have these to attract the majority.
Religions or sects who stick to age-old non-worldly and non- sensual ways will be left behind though they may well be correct, prime and proper.
But then again, there is the dilution of the true teachings of the saints of religion. What is right ends up wrong and what is wrong may well be the best alternative though far from ideal. Pragmatism dictates and idealism often takes back seat.
The evolving world has changed religion and religion too has changed the world. Religion has changed us and we too have changed religion.
