The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Let not hatred take over love in a temple or religion

No 1068 of Living Life Series 1

God and saints teach us the doctrine of love and need for magnanimity. We need even to love those who are not with us.

There is no person in the world who should be considered our foes. Even the axiom of loving thy enemies is not in order as we need to have love for everyone even those who have wrong us. We must love those not with us in our own religion, society or nation.

But religions in the name of God and saints can attract people like insects to a flower who come not to further the doctrine of love but to further their own agenda. They often have axes to grind and they may end up bringing cruelty to mankind in the name of religion.

Blame not the flower for insects coming to it and causing it to wilt. This the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says.
Religion is for love. But we can see in religion two types of cruelty. One is direct and obvious. Killing in the name of God and saints is one. Then there is the no love lost type - suing the temple and being sued by the temple with either part trying to inflict pain and financial loss. But what impression will this impart to society at large?

This is all because they cannot see eye to eye in matters of God and saints. The real problem is that they are not even seeing from the perspectives of God and saints but seeing from their own perspectives and claiming they are acting for God and saints. They are just making use of the name of God and saints.

They cannot even love their comrades, let alone love their neighbors and to love others who don't love them is even more too far fetched. They harbor hatred in of all places temples and houses of God and saints. Nothing holy about hatred.

Let not hatred take over love in a temple or religion. That would be sad indeed. Nothing holy about hatred. But the religious man who believes in love must be wise and be able to stand the holy ground.

He must be in strong position to influence those who are not religious and who love not those who are against them. If not, he will be made use off by them to further the cause of the very unholy hatred agenda.

Big joke that the religious men take the cue from the non-religious in a house of God or religion. That will certainly be telling and we can certainly learn allot from their folly.

The religious body in a temple must provide the leadership and have the say over the administrative body in a temple or religion and not the other way round. Then if it is the other way round,  a temple or religion will no longer be holy with hatred having the last say and in fact every say in matters that be.
At the same time, the administrative body must have the last say over administrative matters otherwise the religious body may end up facing worldly temptations if they tread into administrative and politics in a temple or religion. They must stay in the holy ground. Only then can they give guidance to the administrative body.

But if they are dominated by the administrative body and take instructions and cues from the administrative body, then they are no longer in their holy ground. Unholiness will rule and call the tune and the temple or religion will no longer be temple or religion they say.

Many temples and religions do have functional religious and administrative bodies. Bo Tien temples are good examples.
