No 887 of Living Life Series 1
Whoever says that God and saints take care only of their flock may have misunderstood them. Well, that would be sad. They are like lost sheep though ironically still in the flock and not lost.
God and saints take care of all, more so those who are not considered by men to be in their flock.
That is why the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says the far may be near and the near far.
It is more important to look after those in the wilderness than those who are no longer lost.
It is more important to look after those in the wilderness than those who are no longer lost.
For the near, what they need is to put the Word into practice and cultivate the purity of the inner nature. But those in the flock if they fail to do so and deceive themselves that all they need is to believe and do no more than that, they are wasting precious time.
They think there is always another day and when the day comes, they think there is yet another day. They have sloth and torpor.
It is not that they have no faith but they have blind faith. They are far though near.
We must not be blinded by faith. We must not use faith as an excuse. We must have wisdom. We must not waste time.
Time is a blessing which we could ill afford to put aside. Life is short and we must live well and correctly. We must not live as though there is eternity of life as man.
Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 has this rejoinder. He who knows and lives in the Word knows and sees him and he who does not knows not and sees not the saint (the good lord) even if the good lord or his image is right before him.
